Another question about points awarded. My team was recently promoted to WT and I was informed on here that the bottom two teams in the WT points gets relegated.
I've had a look at points awarded for different performances in WT races. Now I understand you get different superprestige points for winning the points jersey, wearing yellow etc.
But how are the WT points awarded? It seems to show 100 points for an overal victory, but do you get points for stage wins, winning points, KOM etc?
I am not likely to win many tours this year, but can certainly pick up jerseys and stage victories! Your advice will be much appreciated!
There are 6 WT points for stage win (except GT, there are more) jerseys don't give you any WT points. Monuments give 100 WT points to the winner and other WT classics give 80 points.

Thanks for your quick reply my friend.
So, you are trying to win stages and place as high as possible in the overal for WT points? Jersey are just for sponsor goals etc.
Man, this is going to be a tough old season! My best tour riders are Kelderman, Mwautowski and Velits, so they will be lucky to finish top 10 in the big tours..

Oh, no problem then, you'll win everything, you got Kelderman!
No, seriously, nice challenge for you then, good luck!

well, Kelderman has a lot of potential but he's only a 77 Mo on my game, so way lower than the main tour favourites. i have new trainers now though so fingers crossed we can get him ready to challenge later in the year.

Does he get really good then?
Well, he normally has a lot of potential(though that varies per career)(just like in real-life, where he has a lot of potential as well ).
If he has 2stars+ in MO at your game, yes, then he'll be good at your game as well
But I was mainly pointing at the fact that I'm a Kelderman fan

Ahh, I see! Well, I did not know much about him but set up a custom team with mainly youngster and team leaders with no higher than 15k salary and he was a steal! I'll make sure he gets good support and i'll keep and eye on his results IRL.

Yeah, he's really cheap most of the time.
Shame that you haven't heard of him, you could say he's the 52th best cyclist of the world and the 37th best this year(at this moment), if you look at the CQ ranking.
Got 5th in the GC at the big WT race Tour de Romandiƫ, 7th at Eneco Tour(also WT), 6th at the Tour down Under(also WT) and won the 2.HC race Tour of Denmark. Oh, and also got 17th at the Giro d'Italia as a worker for Gesink.
He's even 29th cyclist of the world this year on the official UCI WT rankings atm
Keep an eye on him, he's going to be a big one.
Allright, but we're getting a big offtopic, aren't we?
(which is my fault )
Ha! that's no problem, always good to get some info on the riders! I only really follow le tour and Vuelta really, but I am getting more and more into the full season now.
Funny enough, Gesink was a signing pre season and he will be supporting Kelderman in Le Tour for me. Hopefully can squeeze in to the top 10 with Gesinks support.
