It seems to be a riders overall average. But Im not sure. I have 2 WT riders on my conti team in TVG and Talanski...but when I tried adding 1 rider who had a 72 average, the computer made my team a Conti Pro team. So, took him off and filled my remaining spots with the best young riders I could get and 2 decent WT riders who came cheap and had a lower than 73 average.
What decides what class your in? Average of team (combined)or average of 1 rider?
Im not sure I tested it putting Contador on a conti team...it bumped to Conti Pro. But I also had 5 riders of 71+ average and wasnt bumped to a WT team. Im curious because I want to keep a good story going for awhile with a custom team that will be conti to start...and work my way up. Yet Im unsure who I can add to teams and stay conti. Seeing I want to build up my team over a few seasons.
Nope, I experimented a bit with it, I think ita the total rider wage.
(And number of cyclists a little bit, since at the point you have 19+ cyclists, no matter how bad they are, you can't get Conti anymore)
Which wage is the difference between PCT & CT(&WT) is easy to test yourself

I was testing it, but to me it seemed to be overall average.
But, the wage has to play some role also. To test both Im going to first get lower cost riders but with higher averages. The. Ill get high $$$ riders and see if both alter it or just one.
Talanski- est. 9000
TVG- est. 17000
However I had Contador at one point, and he is 80 or 90k. So we shall see what happens. I hope to get a season going in the next day or so. With luck, come transfer time I can sign a rider like Porte and stay conti. But if its wages, I think with Talanski and TVG...Porte (or Porte type $$) would put me into conti pro. We will find out.
