I created a rider who has 85 stats on everything. Just messing around, but he can pretty much beat anyone due to his ultara good acc, stam, recovery. He never uses a full green bar unless I attack from the start of a multiple climbing stage with cat 1 and HC climbs.
My question is, can I pretty much enter him in any race all year and he will do well. Or will the AI catch up with me sooner or later and he will be to tired to do anything but finish?
I have played 1/4 a season using him. I dont even plan his season, just add him anytime it is a sponsor goal race or a high prestige race. So far at: 4 fittness he can still beat or stay with the best in the game (Froome, Contador).
I know its cheating...but while trying to get my kit in game working right. I just figured why not.
Anyone have any idea if I could use a rider like this all season. With out him getting overly tired? I try if I see his fittness at 4, to rest him for a race or 2.
Anyone else create a rider like this? I did it to just goof off, and also see better when to attack, ride a threats wheel and more. With a rider like this I almost cant mess up. But he has helped alot in teaching me when I need to imploy some real life tactics.
Let me know if you have created a "Superman" rider and how he fared over a season. He only cost me 92,000 to sign too, cheaper than many real riders are.

Just create a fitness schedule which does not create any fatigue and you are fine.
Maybe you also have to watch the freshness.
But I would never create or play with such a rider, plain waste of time in my opinion. |

Hi,
I once did it to immitate Eddy Merckx. Altough I figured out it did not really kept working ( I play on hard). For example. In the tour the france, after riding the classics, Paris-Nice, Giro He could not get a good form anymore.
The best form was 91 instead of 100 and it kept decreasing during this tour due to the high number of racing days. I finished the tour 3th. As you probably know, in the tour, all the top riders are in top form, and I came short there, even with all stats on 85.
As you will see, The rest of my season looked pretty nice ^^ just a shame I came up short in the tour. I think you have to make a decission, classics, giro, vuelta or classics, tour, vuelta. But eerything is too hard I think.
Here are my results
Tour down under:
Omloop het Nieuwsblad: 1st
Paris-Nice 1st
MSR: 1st
E3: 1st
Gent Wevelgem: 9th
RVV: 1st
Paris Roubaix: 1st
Amstel: 1st
Flèche walone: 1st
LBL: 1st
Romandie: 3th
Giro 1st
did not race in dauphine or tour de suisse ( Due to fatigue)
Tour: 3th
Vuelta: 1st
Worlds: 1st
Lombardia 1st |

If I planned to really care about the season I have him in...I agree. But really it was just a test/idea. And well...it worked.

I did this last year. It sounds sad but it really helped me to learn the game whilst winning rather than losing and getting frustrated (cos i hate losing). I didnt' do the same this year but what i did do was create a strong sprinter rider with 77 Hills and 76 Mountain plus 83 time trial and good stamina, recovery ect but this was to see if i could win a grand tour with him.In the first season i finished 11th in the Giro and surprisingly won the Tour. What i hoped was that i could win the hilly stages and gain some time on the favourites (Which worked on a few) and on the mountain top finishes i would just try to keep the distance from the big climbers as small as possible. Then on other mountain stages which had a downhill finish or still had some distance of flat before the finish, i would keep a rider protecting me so i could recover quickly whilst being protected and still catch the strong riders and then attack them on the flat to gain time. This didn't gain me as much time as i expected but if i remember correctly i did manage to get around a minute back on one occasion.
I actually really enjoyed this. Had plenty of anger after a disappointing Giro (although it wasn't my primary target) but playing the tour that way was so much fun and was over the moon when i won |

Sounds like you should have gotten suspended for doping.
If nothing else the others riders should have suspected and acted accordingly. Doing there best to damn you. |

Yea my super rider is doping no question. He won 3 races leading to the Giro (his only 3) and then won the Giro by over 7min. Next was 2 small races, and I tried to use him as a helper...he still got 2nd in both. At the TDF he soloed to wins on 3 hard climbing stages. And won the GC, Points and Young rider jerseys. He won the overall by 12min.
So I agree it is a cheat method, but as long as your team can keep up with him at times. It will indeed teach what statagy that you should inploy at many different areas. Just because he is a rider who should not ever be beat, the peloton can track him down and reel him him. Strong as he is, he cant hold off 100+ riders working as 1. Now on any stage if he has a break away and has a gap of 1:40 or more...he pretty much is never caught.
Edit: He crashed at a small 3 stage race after the TDF. He has a broken arm, and will be out till about the time the last GT is next. Will his form be good? I want to win all 3 GTs just to see.

Lol...no clue about the double post. The edit was due to I was playing when I wrote the post. Right after I finished about the gap...he crashed. So, I put edit and said he crashed.

Matrix,
Glad to see you are enjoying the game. You also seem to have a sense to the reality. Note he will probably be marked as a favorite, therefore marked by other contenders/teams. I agree with Lachi on adjusting the difficulty rating to learn race strategies and habits. Note, Stage making is also cool, but also time consuming. |
