Sponsor: "Contract end: -6" ???

I apologize if it's been brought up before. I tried searching through the site and google, but couldn't find an answer as it threw up all sort of other hits.

Playing PCM12 with PCM daily 2013 update.

I got a new sponsor last season and now it says it ends in the year -6 on the sponsor page. I checked with Lachi's editor and it shows about half the sponsors has a value of -10 to 0 in the gene_i_contract_end column.

Anyone seen this before? I'm worried it will crash my save. Will it fix itself or should I edit it?

This is something I wondered about as well. What does it mean?
I suspect it's that the sponsor can't be approached for the next 6 years?

Anyway, I think you just can edit the contract length. I don't think it crashes careers, at least not if my suspicion above is right Wink

I cannot say if it is a problem but you could easily change it.
Just remember not to overwrite your existing save in case you did something wrong.

Thanks. I'm in 2017 and I'm pretty sure the contract was due to end in 2018. I think I'll wait until I come to the end of the season before I change it, and play to the end with and without the edit just to see if the -6 value will deny me the chance to negotiate a sponsor next season.
