Okay, i have a problem with the maximum salary being set on new riders i want to sign. My wage bill available next season is around 500K. My wage bill Currently is around 200K. I've offered a contract to De Gent for around 45K but now when i try to offer a contract to anyone else i'm not being given any budget for that rider. I'm trying to sign Kelderman and the budget i have set for him is -42,700 and the amount is stuck on 2000 and it's exactly the same for Josh Edmonson who i am trying to sign
Help please? I'd prefer to actually sign them in the game but if i have to i'll just do it via the editor |

Do you have a negative balance right now?

Does it say something like your sponsor imposing a maximum salary for that rider?

Yes you can edit something.
First offer 2000 but write down the amount he requested.
Then save and quit the game.
Now you can edit your save and change your offer.
The table is called DYN_contract_cyclist_offer, the column is finan_i_period_wage.
You can offer any amount you wish, so you could offer more than that rider requested.
Now create anther save and load this save in the game.
You can advance in the game normally and the rider will decide whether he wants to join the team based on your edited offer.
Of course you could just add them to your team |

Couldnt he also just edit his budget? If he has say 100k to use. Wouldnt he have more money to offer if he had say 100000 vs the 500k I think he said he has? Or would the game set it so he still had a cap on what he could offer no matter what his avl. money is?

Okay, i've just realised what it is. My sponsers have set a maximum salary for next year of 27,000 per month. My wage bill right now is 270,00 (from this season). I'll have to just transfer them in editor >.< |

I don't want to create a new thread, but can I ask you something Lachi?
Does offering more salary than a rider requests make him more likely to sign?

That I can answer. In most cases, yes. But not every time. So be sure you have key riders signed BEFORE you offer 1 rider more than his asking price.
I had someone who wanted 75k, I really wanted him and offered him 85k. He signed, but when the season ended and I looked at my roster...I couldnt afford 2 key riders.
So you have 2 choices. Sign 1 rider you really want, and a rider who fills a gap if you let one leave.
OR
Sign your riders 1st, then go after guys you want. Becareful not to offer 2 riders 5-10k (maybe higher) then they are asking. Because if you did...and they both sign, you may need to go into files and change your monthly earnings or go bankrupt.
My advise, only offer 1 rider over his wanted price. Keep close track of what you have to spend. Every offer you make, subtract it on some paper from your total. And be sure the key members you needed are signed 1st.
This should keep you doing ok when it comes to your funds. If you start to make random high offers and dont keep track. You could very easily find yourself with a GREAT team...but go broke before your sponsor earning and race earnings can stop you from being fired. Yes it can happen, I tried it just to see...I got given a choice to manage a low ranked team 1 of 2 they offered (roster and stats of riders unseen)...no fun. Both where awful. And if you want the season to keep going you must choose 1 of the teams they offer and start at the bottom.

Hey guys I'm having the same problem as Danny. I'm a first year player of this game and started a career, which I know wasn't advised but I'm so raw to this game it really didn't matter if I waited for a good db or not .
Right now i have 2mil in my balance and I'm throwing money at scouts and trainers out of boredom because even with my rider wage I still increase my balance 200k a month. Is there anyway to adjust the "maximum authorized wage bill" I don't understand why a sponsor gives you money but doesn't let you spend it.
Sorry for my ignorance. Great website guys I've checked it everyday for the last two months! |

They set a cap on how much you can spend a month for the next season. So, for example you sign Contador (80k about). You wont sign a rider after him that you want if he is a higher priced rider. Take a guy like Porte (16k about) you may get lucky and squeeze him in under the cap. But trying to sign another 50+k rider isnt prob going to happen, as it will go over the cap.
If you have an editor, Im sure you can alter what the sponsor has as your cap. Allowing you to sign almost anyone. But without changing it....your stuck with only what the sponsor will allow.

Where can I edit my salary cap in editor? I'm in the 3rd season and I signed contact with other sponsor. They'll give me 252k per month for salaries and this season I have 150k for month for salaries. When I try to hire cyclist in there last season contract, the salary cap that is shown is 150k instead of 252k.
I want to change it in editor so I can hire cyclist for the next season. |

I still believe that my method described above is the easiest solution.
But anyway, the budget for the next season can be set in the table DYN_team. The column value_i_sponsor_future contains the Id of the sponsor and the budget. Look here for the formula
If that does not help, maybe the salary is capped in relation of the actual contracts. Raise the wage of some of your riders in the table DYN_contract_cyclist, then check again.
But before you start to edit. Make a copy of your save in case something goes wrong. |

Thanks for helping |
