Weak pack in Giro 2nd season

The first season there was quite a few strong rider (valverde, Nibali ) but the second season there was a massive lack of strong riders. The strongest were De gent and Pinot). I took Uran expecting a difficult race and ended up winning by 17 minutes, Anyone else finding the same thing happened to them?

Yeah the same thing happened to me in PCM 2012. In the second year my strongest opponents were Kreuziger and an out of form Nibali. Can't say how it was in the first year though, i was Continental pro and didn't get the Wildcard.

I've had that in PCM before. But it's not really strange. Usually the next year you suddenly find a very strong field again.

It's a bit like real life. Giro had some really horrendous weak fields in 2001, 2003, 2004 etc. And some very strong fields in for instance 2011, 2008..2013 even.

Let's see whether Ruben is right, I have the same "problem".

Giro podium was TVG, Talansky, Pozzovivo.
Vuelta podium was Sanchez, Nieve, Bouet.

i haven't played 3 seasons yet in 2013, so i dont know wether its the same still as pcm 2012, but if it is, you'll find strong and weak fields as years go by

In the first season it's the absolute opposite for me, sky sent Wiggins, Froome, Uran and Henao. So i suppose there can be strong or weak fields.
