Looking to buy a new laptop for as cheap as possible that will play FM and PCM.
I see that the intel hd series does run he game but at low settings.
I'd like a bit more than that and was hoping some of you who play on laptop can give me feedback in terms of graphics and what you your laptop has. I'd like to play on medium to high ideally without having to buy an Alienware. |

4000 HD series can run the game on low settings.
wouldn't try it with a 3000HD series one.
But seriously. I can only advise you to save as much money as possible and wait more months, then to buy a cheap laptop.
I've got a 1500€ laptop and i'm happy I saved up for that |

Intel® Core™ i7-3610QM processor (6M cache, up to 3.3GHz)
Windows 7
8GB of DDR3 Memory
Nvidia GeForce GT 650M 2GB
Just as a reference, that plays PCM (and just about any game I've tried so far on High or Ultra settings (if its available, some PC ports suck and dont)
Im not sure of the Framerates, but there is no obvious choppyness or anything.
It was $1000 just like the others, and I feel it was totally worth it, despite what people say about laptops not being as gamer friendly as actual PC's (which is obviously true, but no complaints from me )

I would recommend saving up to get a half decent rig. It makes the game so much more fun due to be able to play at a high framerate |

Intel® Core™ i3-380M (up to 2.53 GHz)
4 GB DDR3 Memory
15.6 " HD LED LCD, 1366x768
PCM13 at minimum settings is laggy.

If you pay about $1000 you'll get one good enough for 1920 x 1080 resolution |

1920×1200 on my 17" display makes the control panels really small, it takes some time to get used to it.
1366×768 was the standard resolution on my previous 15", that worked quite fine.
Still, for 1000 €, go for 17" FullHD, so 1920×1200.
Can give you some detailed advice what exact models are worth buying in that price range, I did a lot of research not dven a month ago.

My laptop is:
Core i3-3120M 2,5 GHz
GeForce GT730M
8 GB RAM
The game works fine on some medium settings, I don't remember them exactly. |

all 2nd generation intel core i5 and i7 have intel boost tehnology 2.0
for example my laptop has intel core i5 2450m 2,5 ghz,2 core,4 threads with intel boost 2.0 he reach 3.0 ghz
your laptop has intel core i7 3630qm 2,4 ghz,4 cores,8 threads with intel boost reach 3,4 ghz
that boost tehnology is overcloacking your processor automatic when needed.microsoft say that it's an overcloacking safe
what i know about overcloacking,it's that proccesor will have a short life
binga buy a laptop/notebook that has intel core i7 2nd gen. with a amd or nvidia video card

Intel Core i3 - 370M
2.40GHz
6GB Ram
Can run on good settings, but can't use shadows otherwise it turns very laggy. |
