What does the fighter-skill do when you play the stage.
I realise that it makes it easier for the rider to get into a breakaway, when you simulate the race.
But i have no problem getting into a breakaway, with a rider that isn't good in fighter, so what does the fighter skill do?
The fighter skill is just unknown really, no one knows for sure it seems.
Me neither, imo it just sets the frequency or chance a rider will attack (whether it's early or late in the stage), more or less the aggressivity of a rider I think.
It indeed doesn't do anything for human riders (so far we know, but hey, it's still Cyanide).

For AI, it's how many times a computer rider places a late attack.
At least, that's the general opinion, opinions vary about that...
I disagree. Whilst it has no appreciable effect in 3D race for humans i am fairly certain it does have an impact in Quick Sim.
Shockingly this effect simply is how likely it is that your rider will get into the break if set on "Breakaway" or "Get into break to help leader". I cannot post numbers but i have seen enough of a pattern for it to now affect how i play the game, and it seems to be working.
For the AI yes it does seem to be chances of attack, but i would say at anytime in the stage. More of a defining factor of late attacks is remaining energy, hence why Cancellara attacks late but not Bernadeau. I also think it might have some baring on the number of attacks, with riders like Pirazzi going after a lot more intermediates than riders like Grabsch. (yes i know proper tests are run with custom stats sets, but that hardly helps illustrate the point)
But in all seriousness TMM is right, I use quick sim quite a lot and the fighter stat does affect the "Breakaway" command.

Allright, that could be, yeah.
Though I don't simulate a lot.
