Ok once i saw the new Cyclocross DB I did what everyone else probably decided to do, download it! Once i downloaded it I immediately thought it was a great Database/Mod and thought I would be the first to do a story with it
The Team:
Rabobank will be the team of choice for this season, the team isn't such a powerhouse as say Fidea, but we do have arguably the most powerful rider today, in Sven Nys.
The Riders:
Leading the team this year will be the powerhouse of Boom-Nys, both capable of winning almost anything, it will hopefully be a good year of the team.
Sven Nys
Sven will be a key role for our success this year, a powerhouse in every meaning of it. His challengers will have a hard time with the brutal pace Sven can put in at any time.
MT 82, HIL 85, STA 83
Lars Boom:
Another key role this year, Lars will be the Co-Leader and will ride for himself in most races and should be another force to be handled with aswell.
MT 80, HIL 82, STA 82
Other riders:
Gerben De Knegt- Free
Bert Aernouts- Free
Boy Van Poppel- Worker
Ramon Sinkeldam- Worker
Joeri Adams- Worker
Ricardo Van Der Velde- Worker
We also managed to sign Daniel Summerhill for this season aswell.

Our first race of the season should Hold an indacation of two things, to test the riders legs and see if i'm any good at this
The riders:
We've sent Summerhill, Aernouts, Van Popple, and Van Der Velde to represent the team. Aernouts will lead the team through this race, we do have some serious competition, riders such as Stybar, Wellens, and Albert are some of the riders we need to watch out for.
There's a crash early on in the race, Van Yzendoorn has takin a spill but has managed to not bring anyone with him.
The world champ, Vervecken is leading a group of 9 clear with 34 Kilometers to go.
The riders include Vervecken, Vanthourenhout, Dlask, Aernouts, Groenendaal, Wellens, Stybar, Albert, and Vantornout.
With 20 Kilometers to go they have dropped Vanthourenhout, And our man Aernouts.
And with 14 Kilometers left Dlask, Wellens, and Stybar have rode away from the others. This should be the deciding move for the winner today.
And with only 6 KM to go Stybar and Wellens had dropped Dlask from the group, it's a two man race now.
And Stybar was able to hold on over Wellens, a great win for him.
Fidea completely dominated the race, with all 5 of there riders in the top 5, the manager has to be happy with that.
Results:
Rank Name Team Time
1 Zdenek Stybar Fidea Cycling Team 2h15'56
2 Bart Wellens Fidea Cycling Team s.t.
3 Petr Dlask Fidea Cycling Team + 1'20
4 Klaas Vantornout Fidea Cycling Team s.t.
5 Erwin Vervecken Fidea Cycling Team s.t.
6 Richard Groenendaal Nederland + 2'02

Lessons learned from the 2006 version of the DB:
If Wellens is there, Nys must be there to counter him, and vice versa.
Never underestimate the french.
Remember, its a cobbled race, dont go all gung-ho trying to win the race on lap 1 (unless you are playing PCM07 and you are in a small race where your biggest worry is Alexander Moos and you decide to attack with a solid 3-star favorite from the git-go in which case you win the race by half a lap)
You must likely dont have enough green bar to win if you attack sooner than with 15kms to the finish line (rather obsolete in the 2007 version)
