I recently decided to install the game on my laptop for convenience after playing it almost error-free on my Desktop main computer ( that has a NVidia Geforce graphics card ) for a couple of months. The game and the patches installed no problem and the game worked perfectly until i entered the 3D - stage where a very strange problem occured with graphics on any setting, including lowest. The problem can be described as grey spikes flying about the screen, erratically , covering the whole screen. The graphics card on my laptop is poor , ATI Radeon IGP 345M 64Mb but seems to run most of my other games fine , even if some are on low graphics settings. I have the correct, up to date DirectX files/drivers installed and the graphics drivers seem to be as up to date as possible. Is there a bug with ATI graphics as i have heard this rumour?
I've noticed that many members are experiencing troubles with ATI Radeon cards, but it doesn't seem as if there's one solution to the problem. I can only suggest to search for an answer at https://www.cyanide-studio.com/forums/.../index.php. Use the Search function and search for "ATI" in the (English) Technical Forum. There's a few members with problems which have been solved.
I doubt it's an ATI problema as I had that with my old Nvidia Geforce 6600GT
now I switched to a brand new ATI card and I haven't seen it anymore (even though I've barely touched PCM lately)

with so much different stuff in terms of software and even hardware from PC to PC, it's no wonder some screw up and some don't...
that reminds me...my 6600GT is sitting on top of a small piece of furniture next to my bed and the lamp...looks odd a graphics card sitting there...but I have nothing to do with it really

Delighted .... googled my graphics card and found a tech. forum which contained a post from some guy who had graphics problems with my graphics card. Recomended a driver website ( omega ) and a certain driver, so downlaoded it cautiously and it seems to have cleared the problem for the moment..... No doubt another problem/bug will appear soon....
