I just picked up pcm11 and started with a custom team. How do you sign sponsors? Do you start without a sponsor then down the line sign one? |

If I remember correctly you start with a sponsor when using the custom team feature.
Why did you ask anyway? You should be able to find it out by starting a career.
If you are not talking about the custom team feature but added a team using the editor, then most probably you forgot to add a sponsor. Download another editor to add a sponsor to your team. |

It is a while ago since I played that game so I cannot remember correctly. Can you post a screen? |

I can see a a sponsor, he is called CUSTOM TEAM. Why do you say it is blank?
I am pretty sure you could have entered another name but it is still possible to change it using an editor. I think you have to edit it in two spots, DYN_team and DYN_sponsor.
As you can see, the contract will end 2012. After that, you have to find another sponsor.
The custom team works like every team. You can promote to the Pro Tour if you have enough points. (Superprestige points or whatever they are called in your database.)

Obviously it depends how you want to play. A small team should be have about 15 riders and mostly one country and no star rider.
If you want to play with a better team, you should concentrate on one country having many riders like France, Italy, Spain. But you can also get riders from other countries and maybe one or two good riders. (Not Cav or Froome obviously).
If you want to play in the Pro Tour right away, it would be easier to edit the database before you start the career. Easiest solution would be to replace the weakest Pro Tour team with your team. |

So you want to have 17 + 8 riders? That would be a big Continental team. For example comparable to Team Europcar. You would need some good riders then. |
