Everybody knows it is difficult to get to understand the tactics of training schedules and season planning. I've got a lot of questions, but my most important one is:
Can you drive too little races in a season? Normally people say your riders can ride 60-80 days per year. But does riding less than 50 races affect development or form?
For example, you only select the World Tour races on your calander in career mode. So some riders ride only 20 races in a year, only focussing on preparing them to peak at the designated races.
Follow-up question, in case of no, how do you plan your season in a normal way? Do you just accept the races the game has selected for you, or do you have some logical plan for picking races on the calender?

Race days don't matter at all for development.
Form is differently. You can get in perfect shape at around 15 race days. At around 60 it goes down again.

Okay, thanks for the quick response.
So if i get this correctly, i can easily do my career mode with a very little filled calender, only knowing it is very unrealistic?

Yes, you can, although you will be missing out on race income that you might need to pay your staff.

To answer your follow up question. I like to race the same races as the real team, so I go to their team page and/or to procyclingstats.com and write down all the races. Then I try to perform well with the same riders in the same races as the team did in real life.
