Anyone have any good tips for feeds on big mountain stages. I find that once I get toward the summit finish or just towards the end of a stage my yellow is all gone, and I try to choose yellow heavy feeds, but they don't seem to be working.

Any help would be appreciated.

In my experience, there are two reasons for the feed to not work: Either you're doing it wrong, or you're riding so hard that there is no gain at all.

I usually take a heavy yellow and a heavy green feed. Sometimes, if I know the pace will be very hard over a longer period, I take two heavy yellows.

Your yellow bar wont go higher than your green bar, so wait for the yellow bar to drop way below the green bar and then use your feed.
