My question is pretty simple, how does it work?
Is it possible to edit rider stats etc. in a database while you're in a career playing with that particular DB?
thx

Do you mean Lachis editor? if so then yes, its possible what do you need to change? im no pro at it yet, but i've been able to change whatever i wanted so far, so i might be able to help you.
First off you need to find out where your savegames are located. In my case its here C:\Users\Jthewonder\Documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2013\Users\Jthewonder\Database\Solo
Then when you open the editor choose "extract cdb" and choose the savegame you want to edit. Then when its loaded, scroll down to the area which you wanna change.
For example, if you want to make Froome better or worse in the mountains, scroll down to "dyn_cyclist" or press the "[C] Cyclists" button at the top of the screen and then locate him, then you scroll to the right untill you see the column named "charac_i_mountain" and change the number to whatever you want. Note that the column next to it will be named "limit_i_mountain" this is the maximum the rider can progress to in that stat, so allways make sure its atleast as high the number you put in "charac_i_mountain".
When you're done dont just press "save" but instead chose "export to cdb" and choose "yes" when it asks if you want to save aswell, then name it whatever you want (i usually name mine "EDIT" to make it easier to remember) Then when you start the game, simply load the savegame that you edited (in my case that would be the one named "EDIT" ) and enjoy your changes.
Like i said im no pro at this and only recently started using it myself, but this method works for me. If you need to edit other things than the rider stats, scroll through the forums pages and there will be a couple of threads explaining it better than i ever could. Hope it helps
