There is something wrong in sprints, there are riders that come out of nowhere in ridiculous speed, almost like teleport, this looks ridiculous and it's annoying.
another thing, just now, i was sprinting with steegmans on sagan's wheel, i've passed him, 500 meters to the finish, no one in front, no one to pass me, and then, BOOOMMMMMMMM, sagan comes from behind with the ridiculous speed, what the hell, i just passed him, how did he suddenly hit the turbo???
It's the new use of acceleration. You can't easily make up the ground you lose and the speed difference to someone who started the sprint significantly earlier.
My tip is to change your approach that worked in previous editions. Hit the front a few 100 metres earlier than usual and obserseve the opposition closely to see who launches when.
it's cause it even looks weird, the player looks dragged to the front, sucked up to the front, wooooooooooooooop, it's not a natural run when a few riders battle and one is faster.
it's not normal that you start sprinting, you outrun sagan, he gets behind, and then at 50 meters to the finish, sagan appears again riding a rocket.

Rarely see stuff like that happen. I'm guessing you went to early and Sagan wasn't actually fully sprinting when you started so his just tucked into your wheel and sprinted himself later.
The late surge usually happens because who-ever is driving the lead train doesnt set a high enough tempo. Guys from behind end up travelling faster then those at the front and end up overtaking at the end due to having higher top speed those at the front don't reach because they were starting slower.
I thought I could actually end up with a 2nd place, just behind Sagan, in the sprint. But no, even tho it was really close to the finish line Betancour and Valverde beat both me and Sagan. Maybe its better to just concentrate on high acceleration.
Just seems strange that anyone could take Sagan with higher acceleration after he has reached top speed.
