Im as tinkoff, got promoted based on my last race of the season to the UCI protour (PCM DB Spain) so im pretty chuffed. Then went on a mass spending spree and signed a fair few good free riders, and a few who didnt have contracts (Contador! for half price! and not as an absolute leader!) Go me! lol. Anyways, i was wondering because i was racing at the end of the season against guys who had clocked up over 120 days of racing, i get to about 60, then the form starts going down. If i put my riders on a leisure break, does it have the effect of resetting race days? or getting rid of a lot of days raced? I ask because Evgeni Petrov handed me his programme, and he wants to do Tirenno Adriatico, Giro, and Tour, which all in all clock up a LOT of days. Could i send him on a few days break after the giro, so he can then rebuild in time for the tour? Any help would be appriciated on the matter.

right, read all that, and it doesnt answer my question - can the days raced be reset legally through the game? or do i have to be really really selective in which races i allow Petrov to race? for example use the Tirreno Adri. to get his potential racing fitness upto 0/20, and then use the first few days of the Giro to get his full 20/20 in time for the mountain stages? and then what about the Tour? its a month later, and takes 27days according to that guide to get from roughly 65fitness to peak, so do i keep his training up at 80% odd and allow fatigue to build a lot? What then of the races he wants to do after the Tour? by this point hes raced what? 50days of racing in ProTour events alone, ignoring any other races i may want him in, which luckily for me i have Rovny and Belkov to cover as useful stage racers. Ill take it from the lack of response that there is no way to get amount of days raced down, but that the AI just keeps racing at 75/80 fitness and like 10/10 for racing fitness after 120 days of racing?

The fatigue system in PCM is stupid. While you cannot possibly race 120 days at the top level, Slipstream Physiologist Allen Lim says (and I agree with him) that there is no such thing as too much training(and racing) but rather not enough resting.

Quite, and it took the #iss to see guys riding 120 days, and beating my guys to points which i needed to get promoted to get extra cash to give my new sign-ees. As it is im still -37K over the budget...
So there is no way to get rid of race days then. Rubbish. There should be if you take a break mid season, plus some riders race for 2 and a half years solid before a prolonged break (ie a month) whereas on PCM they have 2 full months off. There are areas to be worked on i feel. So yes, top riders can really only focus on one or two tours max, not race 120 days a year and be fine, whereas lower class riders can because as team mates their efforts are far less strenous at times.

Which of course i already stipulated wouldn't happen due to me wanting to win within the rules of the game... which are considerably different it seems for the AI...

Well, you could just start Petrov is those races but abandon him early on.

Why not race him in all of those races except keep his training form at or near 70. The amount of fatigue that you gain is exponentially higher in the 75-80 range than it is in the 65-73 range. You can win some races with TF at 70 and RF at or near 20. |
