Cav getting beaten ?

Is it a coincidence that of the 4 main sprint powers, Cav, Greipel, Kittel and Sagan, only Cav took part in the Giro. Maybe he is paying the cost now with lack of energy and power.

The Giro finished on the 26th of May. I think over a month is enough time to recover Smile

He was sick right before the Tour. He's likely not 100%.

And he's ridden the Giro-Tour many times and its not affected him for the Tour those times.

If he was sick before the Tour his UK NC win was all the more impressive.
I would hardly say hes underperforming. The competition is a lot more even this year withe Kittel and Lotto stepping it right up. Cavs is still just as fast as Greipel and Kittel

He has the best recovery of anyone imo and has often riden the double. Lets just say we can enjoy 3 top sprinters atm rather than 1 and a half which is a good thing Smile

As much as I like Cavendish, it is brilliant going into the final 10k knowing that Cav, Kittel and Griepel all have a big chance of winning rather than knowing its Cav's win already. Makes the win the more sweeter as well I guess.
