Hey All

I just bought the game on steam..

I downloaded the patch of here and the game then refused to play it came up with a crash log everytime?

Im guessing steam automatically downloads the patches anyway and I didnt actually need to download it?

Im gutted I cant wait to get on this feckin' game and now im having to redownload it Sad taking hours

NEVER INSTALL ANY PATCHES WHICH HAVE NOT BEEN SUPPLIED BY STEAM.

That said, in Steam there is a way to validate the files or whatever it is called. Next time try that before redownloading.

I've done same,since i wasn't sure about patch in my game (how the hell i could missed these big letters in top left corner).

I installed patch and everything worked fine. Installed it now again and everything works. It's not recommended , of course.
As user of steam for a long time, i can only say that Steam has these errors when trying to implement something that aren't coming with it (something from side,such as installing patch or something else), since they clearly say that they update it,and you don't have to install absolutely nothing by yourself,or you're going to screw it up,just like you did, but that might not be situation in this case.

Also,if you reinstall game, it doesn't "delete" , so you don't have to download it again ,just install it, iirc?

Of course,best solution is to ask Lachi or lluuiiggii,as Daggen said. Wink
