Grand Tour constant crashes

I have no idea why, but on both the 2012 and 2013 editions my game crashes at a stage of either the giro or the tour de france without fail, I have not yet completed the tour de france because of this. However when I was part of a team that didn't take part in the grand tours, I surpassed until I finally entered one and... it crashed. any help? or have I just wasted money again?

Crashes during a 3D stage are mostly caused by over-estimated graphical options. Reduce the options and try again.

Its not during the 3D stage, its either while its loading, if i quick sim it still crashes on that stage, if i sim on the calendar past the date it still crashes. Its really confusing.

Did you install any DB? If yes, remove it and try again.

Can you play the TdF in the race mode?
Can you play the crashing stages in the single stage mode?

Yes the real names database off here, and yes i have played the tour de france in single player

Single player? But if you can play the tour de france in PCM 13 using the same database as you are using for your career, then it might be just bad luck.

Obviously that doesn't help you much but anyway: Start another career using another team. Simulate up to the TdF. Try again. If it still doesn't work, you might have to contact the officials.
