I can only start by apologising for this thread...I have tended to be a bit harsh with people who come a knocking for system advice/information however having been out of the PC market for a long time I am really at a loss as to what i'm doing!
The last PCM i bought was 2010 and that made a mockery of my now 6 year old laptop. I am therefore in the market for a new system (most likely a desktop as i have the portability i need with an ipad). So, with regard to PCM, is it a processor hungry game or graphics hungry - or both!? I can just about interpret what I'll need graphically and RAM wise but i'm stuck on the CPU side of things. Any advice greatly received.

Note, it's recommended to have a bit higher than this, to play on nice graphics settings
More simply:
Any Desktop of the last 3-4 years should be able to run PCM 13
Any Laptop of the last 2-3 years should be able to run PCM 13
albeit not on great graphics and may ruin the fan
If you are getting a new machine in general, as long as it isn't second hand you will be fine. PCM is one of the lighter games in terms of graphics and CPU usage, it just needs more memory space which will not be a worry with a brand new machine.
thank you for your response and apologies. I have had a brief look at the PCM thread but as its 29 pages long it was a bit daunting trawling it to find what i was looking for!
Pleasant to see that the spec i was looking at more than covers the system requirements. My first computer was a p166....back in the day when a single core 500mhz was a beast of a machine. Since this dual/quad core stuff has come out i'm completely lost!
I have a laptop bought brand new which is 6 months old and it runs F1 2012 fine with great graphics, so I'm expecting no problem running PCM 2013 on it too.
Fingers crossed with regards to how long my fan will last, but it does have a good internal cooling system.
