Le Tour de l'Avenir - Stage 4
SportingNonsense
Corti, Howes and Kupfernagel are the 3 man breakaway.
i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff272/SportingNonsense2/avenir30.png

Howes earns enough KoM points to take the jersey from Michael van Stayen who wins the intermediate sprint at 16km to go after the break had been caught.
i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff272/SportingNonsense2/avenir31.png

We then came to a short but steep hill @ 10%, Cornu led the attacks and took the KoM points.
i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff272/SportingNonsense2/avenir32.png

Hagen joined Cornu.
i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff272/SportingNonsense2/avenir33.png

They are folled by Machado, Grabovski, Pluchkin, Rodrigues and Boom, while Gesink has a slight gap over a peleton down to 17 men.

Hagen is the big favourite as the sprint begins.
i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff272/SportingNonsense2/avenir34.png

And he starts to pull away from Cornu.
i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff272/SportingNonsense2/avenir35.png

He pulls away up the very steep incline.
i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff272/SportingNonsense2/avenir36.png

And Hagen takes victory!
i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff272/SportingNonsense2/avenir37.png

Double celebration for Maxbo Bianchi, as Pluchkin takes 2nd.

Gesink stays in Yellow though, and has gained time on his main mountain rival Intxausti.
