Hi am the new DS of Astana, i am so thrilled to have this opertunity let me tell you, i will be working closely with a legend of cycling Alexandre Vinokourov. We have a very strong squad many new face's, we feel the blend of youth and experiance will serve us well. I will introduce the leaders that we hang our hope's on for this season.
The leaders:
Vinchenzo Nibali:
Nibali will peak for the Giro, the Vuelta and the Worlds in his home country.
Enrico Gasparotto:
Gasparotto will be our leader for the hilly classics at the Ardennes, he will also ride MSR, the TDF and the fall classics.
Maxim Iglinsky:
Iglinsky will co lead most classics with Gasparroto, and go GT stage hunting.
Janez Brajkovic:
Brajkovic will be leader in the 1 week stage races, he will try to podium Paris Nice and the Criterium du Dauphine. We have not decided what GT Janez will ride yet.
Andrea Guardini:
Guardini is the main sprinter he is an excellent prospect and he will ride the TDF this year as leader, his other goals are stage wins at Paris Nice and the Santos Tour down Under.

Sponsor goals:
We have some hard goals for sure, the team trust me that it is better for Nibali to ride the Giro instead of the Tour. I think we will plan our assault on the TDF in 2014, with the Worlds in Nibali's home country it is too much of a risk to do the Tour de France. We have plenty of good riders who can ride well in the TDF, but we will not be able to win the TDF this year. These set of goals is what the board wanted us to achieve but we persuaded them not to send Nibali to France.
?????
Spoiler What do you guys think TDF for Nibali? or do the Giro and try and win the Worlds on home soil?

Good luck
A: You can keep the original Giro-Vuelta-World and adjust the goal or
B: Do the Tour and make Guardini win green
It's up to you

Good luck! I think Giro-Vuelta for Nibali, and just sent riders with Free Element to the Tour, f.e. Brajkovic, Gasparotto, Iglinsky, Kessiakoff.

Stage 2:
Favourites:
Guardini Renshaw Viviani
After yesterday's great result we would love to double up.
1st Intermediate sprint:
1st Ignatiev
2nd O'Grady
3rd Schar
The BOTD is a real strong man's group consisting of Stannard, Schar Ignatiev and O'Grady.
50km' to go and the gap to the Escapee's is comming down, 3'47"
The final Intermediate sprint is won bye Stannard, in 2nd place Ignatiev and Schar takes 3rd.
20km's to go and the break has 1'04" on the peleton.
7.5km's to go and the break is almost caught, although Ignatiev takes the 16 KOTM points ahead of Schar and Stannard.
Bonnet wins ahead of Dumoulin and Hondo, Guardini 7th
Guardini got dropped from the train and we decided to not push on, and it probably cost us the win today, as Bonnet and Dumoulin slipped off the front why Bozic waited.

Gasparotto Iglinsky Poels Kiryienka
Expect GC to be shook up a bit today.
Wackerman won the KOTM points ahead Tjallingii and Tamouridis, Iglinsky took 5th from the peleton and gets 4 points.
Matthews wins the Intermediate sprint of R.Dennis and Kwiatkowski.
Bonnet, Sabatini and Guardini is the top 3 from the final Intermediate sprint. their is no groups infront as we bought it back for the Intermediate points.
A 8 man break formed almost immediately after the Intermediate sprint, Pate and Pinotti are in this group.
40km's to go and the gap to the break is 2'28", the pace is really high.
25km's to go and the gap is 1'22", Gasparotto is looking strong.
8km's to go and the gap is 45 seconds, with Voigt on the front putting on the hurt.
6km's to go and Quintana attacks we will use Iglinsky here.
We have caught the break, Gasparotto and Iglinsky are chasing after Quintana and Poels we have a big gap back to next group.
1.8 to go and this 5 man group has 24 seconds on the peleton.
Iglinsky goes under the 1km banner and leads out Gasparotto.
Gaparotto takes an excellent win.
Iglinsky takes 2nd place ahead of Poels.
Top 10:
GC: Gasparotto takes over the Ochre jersey
What an excellent win bye the team today Iglinsky was so impressive he used so much energy to bring Gaspa to the Poels, Quintana group, and Gasparotto finished it off in style. |

Stage 4
The Favourites:
Guardini should win this as he is the superiour sprinter, Renshaw has not shown anything so maybe this is the stage for him.
We have a 5 man break up the road, Adam Hansen is in yet another break.
Rathe take's the KOTM points ahead of Lobato and Tanner.
80km's to go and Gavazzi has really bought the gap down it is now 3'56", we will hope to catch them before the Intermediate sprint.
60km's to go and the gap is 2'14"
Rathe takes the first Intermediate sprint ahead of Hansen and Kuschynski.
40km's to go and the break has a lead of 1'30", we decide to stop pulling because it is only 3km's till the last Sprint Intermediate.
Rathe, Kuschynski and Hansen the top 3 at the last Intermediate.
No one seems to want a sprint as the lead to the Escapees keeps rising when we dont hit the front, 2'53" now with 32km's to race.
20km's to go and Cannondale are helping with the chase 1'27" is the gap.
15km's left and the break is just 56 seconds in front.
8km's to go and Rathe try's going solo as the rest of his breakaway companions are swept up.
4km's to go and Gavazzi is cooked so Bazayev takes over
1km to go and Bozic leads Guardini out, Guardini is more cooked than Bozic.
Von Hoff wins ahead of Porsev and Lander, Guardini 5th and Bozic 6th.
Top 10:
GC: Iglinsky was 4th in GC at 13 seconds he is now 48 seconds behind, is my game at fault guys because he should not lose that on a flat stage.
Tommorow on a GC day we will send Guardini in the break as he now needs to score points because he is struggling to win the sprinter's jersey at the moment. Today Bozic was yet again stronger he sprinted from 2km's and only just finished behind Guardini.
It looks like this will be the end then im so pi**ed off guys, looks like i will have to continue 2011 but i dont have as many follower's on that 1 i imagine because the games old, Ian and Sutty are the2 who only really follow me on 2011, i really dont no what to do, what can it be with these time gaps on flat stage's. This is the reason i never done a 2012 story because i always have this problem i have tryed uninstalling etc in the past.
