Taylor Phinney certainly took a gamble on riding the Giro over his favourite Tour of California, but it has paid off. His two time trial victories were the cornerstone of his race, and after taking the Maglia Rosa following Stage 7, he never relinquished it.
Angel Madrazo came close, but his 3 Mountain stage victories were only enough to take him to 13 seconds behind Phinney, making this the smallest victory margin in a ManGame Giro - and the 3rd small margin in any ManGame Grand Tour.
Completing the podium is Simon Spilak, having held a podium position since Stage 5. No stage wins, but a very consistent performance. This is the first ManGame Giro with no Italian on the podium.

With 9 Sprint stages, this may have been an ideal Giro for a Sprinter to win this points jersey - but only once has the overall winner failed to take the Points jersey here, and that run continues. Never finishing lower than 25th on a stage, Taylor Phinney took a Top 10 in 13 stages, and deserves victory in this classification.
Ultimately, the sprinters probably cancelled out their chances, with Ben Swift and Danniele Bennati taking 4 stage wins each. Swift had 1 bad stage, while Bennati had 2 bad stages, and that is the difference between them.

King of the Mountains
It was a Giro with fewer Mountains than usual, and this opened the door for an unexpected winner here. Leopold Konig did climb well - taking 23rd in GC - but it was his breakaway appearances on Stage 9 and Stage 14 that were key to his victory.
Angel Madrazo still managed to take 2nd despite a lack of opportunities, while it is 3rd for Christophe Riblon having led the competition for a significant portion of the race.

Young Rider
With the Top 2 the same as in overall, it is clear that this won't be the last Grand Tour to see Taylor Phinney and Angel Madrazo finish highly. It was a breakthrough Grand Tour performance for 3rd placed Romain Sicard, as he took 8th in the overall standings.

Teams
Despite taking on so much responsibility with Taylor Phinney leading for 2/3rd of the race, Wikipedia were also able to take a dominant victory in the Teams Classification. Frenchman Thibaut Pinot and German Christoph Mai were particularly important here, and both managed to finish in the overall Top 25.
