Blanco Pro Cycling: A fresh start!

Blanco Pro Cycling is the new sponsor of the old Rabobank team. After Rabobank quit their sponsorship, Blanco were eager to get into the cycling business. It’s not sure how long they are going to be the sponsor, but for now, they are the proud sponsor!
Here are the new jersey’s:

Team presentation of the most important riders:

Robert Gesink

Robert will be our main man for the GC’s. We are aiming to do well at the Giro and possibly the Vuelta this year. We have the utmost confidence in his abilities, and we think he is able to get a top 5 at these races!

Theo Bos

Theo will be our main man for the sprints, this year. He’ll be sprinting at the Giro and the Tour. We are hoping to get some stagewins and possibly the sprinters jersey with him!

Lars Boom

Lars will be our main man for the cobbled races this year, he will ride all the big classics and also do the tour to assist our leaders and possibly win a breakaway stage or a timetrial/prologue. Sep Vanmarcke is his first helper.

Luis-Leon Sanchez

Luis will be our main man for the Tour when it comes to breakaways. He is a very good rider and will also ride the Vuelta for us. With his breakaway expertise and hill abilities he will also ride the hilly classics.

Bauke Mollema

Bauke is our leader at the hilly races, he is a very good hilly rider and has already gotten a lot of top 10s in races like Amstel Gold and Liege Bastogne Liege. We trust his abilities to get some good results for us in these kind of races!

www.wielerzone.be/images/blogpost/2013/05/wilco_kelderman_blanco_pro_cycling.jpg

Wilco Kelderman

Wilco will be our leader at the Vuelta. He is a great youngster and we are going to give him the chance to show us what he’s got. (I will slightly improve his stats, so that he will have a chance of a top 10 in the Vuelta. I think he deserves aswell, as he rides very well in this year’s Giro.) Hope that’s alright with Jesley!!

BTW. Blanco isn't the sponsor. Rabobank is still the sponsor but not showing thier name.

Best of luck. Your stories are great!

Firstly, thanks for all the responses guys, I appreciate it!

Secondly, @Daggen, I know in real life Rabobank still pays the loans and everything, but their looking for a new sponsor. For this games' purpose I'll just use BlancoPfft.

Australian Championship:

The first race this year is the Australian Championship, we have four Australian riders in our team, so they will all compete!

Our Startlist:

Raceprofile:

i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k486/timodesigns1/PCM0001Aus1.jpg

Preview:

We are looking for the win here ofcourse, with Matthew Goss being here, it’s probably not smart to go for a sprint, we are looking to attack!

Report:

Right from the start Graeme Brown attacked, the most successful Australian rider ever (probably) is in his slipstream; a great companion for the coming 190 kilometres.

i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k486/timodesigns1/PCM0003Aus1.jpg

In the peleton, nobody reacted. The two attackers were gaining time quickly without even riding fast! (I had the stay-option on and only 50 on the meter)
With about 85 kilometres to go the lead is about 13 minutes! The peleton was still not awake, the two in front were probably fighting for the win!

With 30kms to go the lead is about 8 minutes, but now the peleton really starts to ride. Brown and Evans tried to drop each other, but it didn’t work, they couldn’t get away from each other!

With 10 kilometres to go Tanner attacks with Hayman and Meyer. They are about 3 minutes away from the two leaders, so they will sprint for the win!

Brown being the stronger sprinter had the best chance to win, but with Cadel you never know!

i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k486/timodesigns1/PCM0004Aus1.jpg

After a very tough and hot 190 kilometres, Brown beats Cadel by less than the length of a wheel! He had to push every limit in his body to win here, as Evans rode a great sprint!
Brown is the new Australian champion!

i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k486/timodesigns1/PCM0005Aus1.jpg

All our riders finish in the top 10 by the way. A great performance by our team! Third place goes to Cameron Meyer, 4th to David Tanner, and 5th to Matthew Hayman. Luckily we didn't let it come to a sprint, as Goss wins the sprint of the small peleton before Mark Renshaw.
