Introduction
Welcome to the latest Chasing Legends challenge!
DB: Daily 2013 Stats Update
Real Startlist
Race Difficulty Hard to start
The Challenge
With Vini Fantini:
Top 10 in the GC
3 Stage Wins
Win King of the Mountains
Vini Fantini - Selle Italia
Squad
Mauro Santambrogio - Team Leader and the man going after a high GC. He is coming in of an amazing run in Tirreno and Trentino
Danilo Di Luca - Previous Giro winner and will be hunting stages mostly. He can still get a good GC is Mauro hits trouble. Comes in off a decent early season
Francesco Chicchi - The Fastman on the squad. He's never won a Giro stage before, and hopes he can surprise this year. He had a good early run in Langkwai which bodes well
Matteo Rabottini - He won the KoM in 2012, and a great stage as well. He will be going for the KoM again this year, looking to breakaway often. A quiet early season focusing on the Giro
Oscar Gatto - He is a good all-round rider. He can tackle more hills than other sprinters, and that is his best chance. He has also had a great 2013 so far, and hopes to continue with a stage win
Stefano Garzelli - Another previous Giro winner. He will also be targeting the KoM through breakaways. Still a good rider with high hopes for his home race
Fabio Taborre - Another breakaway artist. He can handle a few hills and kick solidly. Decent 2013 so far, and will hope for a stage win
Rafael de Mattos Andriato - The only non-Italian. He is a decent sprinter, and will try and get Chicchi in the action. He will also try a break on the flats. Quiet 2013 again so far
Alessandro Proni - The final member. Again will be after the breakaways. Quiet early season, a result here would the biggest of his career
Targets: Stage 3, Stage 5, Stage 9, Stage 13, Stage 15, Stage 19, Stage 20

If you choose Blanco, who is going to be the guy for the young riders classification?
Well, it's clear who I voted for, I suppose.

I'd go with Vini as well. 3 stage wins are a very ambitious goal and you could fight for it on every single stage. The Top 10 goal is a second nice aspect, I'd like it.

These are much more fun if i can do something every stage, and Vini (and Bardini as well) really suit that.
3 wins is ambitious, but no more so than a Top10 GC.
Probably my personal favorite, just ahead of Garmin

Garmin isn't really that challenging to me. Neither is OPQS.
Others are about equal to me, in terms of challenge.

Noooooooooooooooo!
Kidding, would've been my second choice for sure. I'm starting to love Vini the last months
Some tough goals, but they should/could be achievable.
Gatto should be the best aim for stage-wins, only having Degenkolb as really, really strong opponent on hilly sprints.

@admir
I dread to think how much we'll loose in them. Could be in excess of 5minutes!! Sould allow a bit more freedom in the mountains though
@Jesl
Don't forget Goss aswell, and Ventoso. But outside of a break he is our best bet. Would love to get Chicchi a win aswell
@sutty
thanks

Having technical difficulties... Every time i try to load Stage 1 the game crashes...
1st of the loading sections, game straight stops working (not that its slow, literally the program stops responding according to windows)
Turned off all graphics, checked the DB... no idea here
Any suggestions?
EDIT: Tried running the same race and startlist with various other teams... same thing...
Attaching the .cdb - could anyone have a look and see if there is a problem there.
I've also triple checked the startlist, and there are no errors there
2nd EDIT: Found the problem... Game doesn't like the number of teams! So if someone knows a solution can you either tell me, or edit the attached db
If not, then this story dies

How many teams had you selected? 25 is the max, for a GT 22. Can be edited in STA_UCI_Class or something. Edit that to 25 and make sure there are no more than 200 riders. For my story, it's 25*6=150

19 WT teams + 4 Wild Cards... It will be the 200 riders... but i need that many! (9*23=207... the real startlist)
Otherwise i have to drop a Wild Card which i don't want to do...
Goddamn UCI and their WT cock up!

Well, I believe there is a way to edit the max amount of riders, but there are other experts for that. I have no idea

You have to delete 1 team. 23 teams are currently racing the Giro(23x9 > 200), and 22x9 = 198, so that should be good, since 200 riders is the max.
I would say that you should delete Colombia from the race, you have to delete a team, for sure
