And today I've bought a new computer who's running Windows 8.
When I try to install the game with the disk (didn't crack it or anything..), and when he's got to install the PATCH 1.0.0.0 which is of course the first one. It keeps getting stuck at /landscapes/blablabla/trctors... or something like that! But I'm desperate, I even transferred the whole Cyanide folder from my old PC including the My Documents folder on an external hard drive and then pasted it on my new pc in program files (x86)... YET NO SUCCES. Please I want to play this game on my new computer but I CANNOT DO IT! Any help would be great.
I cannot follow your description. There is no patch 1.0.0.0.
You cannot copy files from one computer to another, this is just not how a software can be installed on windows.
If the installation of the game goes wrong, then you can try this:
Copy all the files from the DVD to a folder of your computer, then run the setup.exe there.
But whatever you do, make sure to install the game using admin rights.
BTW: Did you read and follow the installation instructions in the manual.
Hey listen up, what I meant to say is that when I install the first version of the game (1.0.0.0), I simply put the disk in my computer, run as administrator and so on.. and then when it's installing everything I get this message: c:/programfilesx86/cyanide/procyclingmanagerseason2012/3d/landscapes/isolatedobjects/silos/iso_silosX_XXXXXX_01_S.dds
An error occured while trying to copy a file
Click retry, ignore to skip file or abort to cancel installation.
What does this mean? And I cannot transfer the files on the disk to a folder on my desktop, it keeps getting stuck when im trying to copy it.WHat should i do?
If you cannot copy the files, then either the Disk is broken or dirty or the DVD reader is broken or needs an update. Try to return the DVD if you are sure that everything else is fine with your computer.
