Just install the game on your laptop and copy - paste the folders to the right new folders. They will have the same names.
If it's only about a database (no jerseys...), you can easily copy the database file. (user - database - solo), start a new career on your laptop and replace the new database with your old.

Can you make a new profile? Or do you have to use a code for that? |

Indeed, you have to have the exact same files(DB's etc.) on both PC's. I'm playing PCM careers on 2 different PC's too, and it's no problem.
What you need to do to continue your career is search for the .cdb career file(I also copy the .cdi, not sure if necassary), from My Docs/Pro Cycling Manager 2012/users/*Your name*/Database/Solo/The name of your DB, and paste it on the same map in the laptop(sometimes you need to make a new map in 'Solo)
You can use your old career then
And I made a new profile, I think you can use the old profile though...

You'll have to copy the map which is standing in My Documents/Pro Cycling Manager 2012 and place that in My Documents on your laptop.

Maybe you don't have the correct DB(.cdb file) installed.
Check if the DB you want to use is in My docs/Pro Cycling Manager 2012/mod/dB

that could be it, i've noticed in the Database folder it has copied the games over but none of the folders named 3d,cm_meshes etc have copied , going to add them now, hopefully that will do the trick |
