The race continues with a stage that is most likely to favour the sprinters who can handle the hills with the Category 3 climb towards the end, and then an uphill rise up to the finish sprint. And as Stage 1 proved, the Sprints are set to be very open battles.
When Cardoso started the race, he might have looked at today as a stage win possibility in the sprint. His crash in Stage 1 appears to have changed his prorities though, as instead he goes into today's breakaway with Demare, Kochetkov and Krasilnikau.
All 4 lost time yesterday - and Kochetkov was involved in that same crash as Cardoso. For some reason, Cardoso is the only rider not interested in the sprints.
That's good news for Demare, who wins the first two fairly comfortably.
But the Frenchman goes for a drink just before the 3rd sprint, giving Kochetkov the opportunity to win something.
Cardoso finally shows some interest in scoring today when we reach the climb, but still he comes away empty handed. Krasilnikau takes the points to move 3rd in the competition - still led by Ilias.
Prio-Porto, ANC-Halfords and Risa-Ergon have been in charge of the peloton today and the break is well within reach at 20km to go, with just a minute's lead.
And shortly after 10km to go, the break is caught.
Sutton was all but anonymous in taking 16th in Stage 1 so Risa have decided to do better and create a leadout for him today. Rake, Hagen and Kristoff are his train, and they ride unchallenged at the front of the peloton.
Rizza, for some reason Appleby and Ciocan look to follow, with the other sprinters further back.
Kristoff opens the sprint as the road hits just a 2% gradient with 2.3km to go. Hill hater Gavazzi is right up there alongside Rizza.
And it looks like Gavazzi has taken Sutton's wheel, pushing Rizza and Ciocan back.
ANC have another chaotic leadout attempt, while again Prio are also doing badly with Martins to far ahead of Santos. Duque, Belletti and Abakoumov follow Santos, while Silvestre and Appollonio are also floating around up here.
Having won Sutton's wheel, Gavazzi quickly loses it and this gives the Australian a big lead as he starts his own sprint.
Santos has been forced to launch a long pursuit again but while Duque tracks him, Belletti is riding off in a different direction.
Duque is looking good as he moves into 2nd to chase Sutton, with Ciocan also well placed to try to defend his race lead.
Can Sutton hold on?
Forget Duque, because Dall'Antonia is really on a charge now. Rizza looking quick too as he tries the opposite of his early sprint on Stage 1.
The Italian pair rapidly close down on Sutton, who starts to celebrate early ...
... but it is a justified celebration as Sutton just holds on for the victory!
Dall'Antonia takes 2nd, with Rizza 3rd and Duque 4th.
5th place for Ciocan and while Sutton is now on the same time as him, the Romanian has a better finishing position aggregate so keeps the lead. He also remains leader of the Points classification.
Santos was 6th, Nelson 7th to take the lead in the U25 competition and Abakoumov 8th with Tiainen and Belletti completing the Top 10.
No splits today, although a group including yesterday's Top 10 finisher Irvine did come very close to losing time.
