Okay, so I mentioned in my story that I would show how I am adding U23 races to the calendar. So I'll start a thread trying to make it as step by step simple as I can.
Some preface notes:
First, I use PCM Fast Editor, this guide is built for that. I'm sure it can be done using Lachi's editor also, but I'm not getting into it there.
Fast Editor can be downloaded here!
Second, please practice on a test .cdb first if a single step is missed, you can ruin your save entirely and make it to where the game crashes (I did this several times working out how to get this done).
Third, if anything seems unclear, please post a question and I will try and clarify and adjust how I worded something to make it better.
Creating a test .cdb
To be as thorough as possible, I'm going through it all.
Spoiler
1: Open PCM Fast Editor.
2: Open your save file.
3: Click "save database as" -> set the file name to "test".
4: Close your save file.
5: Open the "test" save file.
Set Up
At times you will see my interface doesn't look the same, you will have dropdowns that look like the picture on the left, while I have text like the picture on the right. To make this change:
Spoiler
1: Right click on the column title (which is "Team" in my picture), select "use lists -> no"
Step 1
Spoiler
1: In the left side window, select these 4 tables to work with: National Team, Team Races, STA_race, STA_stage.
2: Then select the STA_race tab on the top of the right side window.
3: Find the race ID of the race you want to copy. Sorting by "gene_sz_race_name" will make this easier, the ID is the number circled in RED. In this case I will be duplicating the Czech Cycling Tour and making it a U23 race.
4: In the field circled in YELLOW type the ID number in, then click go.
Step 2
Spoiler
The field should reduce down to 1 line (if your race ID is a 2 digit number like 24, then change then "like" dropdown to "=" and click go)
1: Click Add, a new line should be added with a new IDrace, by default this should be the next available IDrace and is good to use.
2: Copy the information circled in RED exactly to the new line so the two are the same. Likly the field "Country" will have dropdowns. Switch this to numbers to make things easier (read Set Up for this).
3: Add a checkmark in the box under "game_b_isactive".
4: Fill in the columns circled in green, the field "fkIDfirst_stage" is always the IDrace with a 1 in front. "fkIDlast_stage" is always the IDrace with the number of stages from "gene_i_number_stages". (For a 1 day race, both first and last stage numbers should be the same.)
5: The dropdown "fkIDUCI_class" should be U23_2NCup for stage races, or U23_1NCup for 1 day races.
6: Fill in the other spots that are left blank with an appropriate name. Leave popularity at 0 for U23 races. If there is a field I left blank, you shouldn't fill it out.
7: Move the slider at the bottom of the screen all the way to the right now for the next step.
Step 3
Spoiler
The slider should now be all the way right so we can finish the last few fields of STA_race.
1: Copy the fields circled in red from the old race to the new race. So they are the same.
2: The field circled in green has options, you could simply copy from the old to the new. U23 races though use the HC xml scripts so for tours use "cont_2hc.xml" or for 1 day races use "cont_1hc.xml".
3: Add a reasonable name to the field "CONSTANT"
4: Click the STA_stage tab at the top to move on to the next step.
Step 4
Spoiler
With the STA_stage tab selected we are ready to move on.
1: Select "Filter":Race, then add in the IDRace (again if the ID is 2 digits, use the " = " modifier.) Click go.
2: Sort by IDstage.
3: Click "Add" as many times as needed to create enough stages for your race.
4: Change the values circled in RED to the appropriate IDrace and IDstage values. IDstage should be the value of Race with the stage number before it.
5: Copy the cells circled in GREEN to the appropriate cells in YELLOW.
6: Checkmark all the boxes in "gene_b_selected".
7: Fill in the day and month to whatever values you would like (note, I have no idea if anything will work after the game goes into Offseason, so keep the races before November)
8: This will be the most difficult step so... I give you tools!
You have to get the computerized date to fill in "gene_i_computed_date". So go to This Website!
9: Enter the day you need into the fields circled in GREEN. Enter the time to be exactly 7:0:0 in the fields circled in RED. Then click To Epoch.
10: Copy the value circled in multiple colors at the bottom into the computed date field in Fast Editor. You need to do this for each stage.
11: Click on the National Team tab up top to move onto the next step!
Step 5
If you are not editing an already started Career you do not need this step. If you are, then you must do this for it to work in the current season. Later seasons will do this automatically.
Spoiler
With National teams selected we can start step 5.
We aren't really adjusting anything here, but there are numbers we need. The fields circled in red should let you know what ID matches each country. Your DB won't have the last 4 on here (147-150) I'll go into how to do that later probably. Your IDs should be 121-146.
Click on Team Races now, and we're almost done.
1: Like before we need to Filter by Race = "IDrace", then click go. You will get a empty set.
2: Adding rows depends on the number of teams you need, for U23 add 25 rows. (Click the "Add" button 25 times to do this)
3: Fill in teams with numbers 121-146, this column is another column you will probably have to change from dropdowns to numbers.
4: Fill race in with the IDrace number, each cell should have the same number.
5: Fill "fkIDinvitation_state" with Subscribed.
The fully filled out data should look something like this:
Save the .cdb file, and load the game
Spoiler
The new race should show up at the bottom. And in the calendar

In the DB there are Calendar-sets, like ESPAGNE, BENELUX and so on. If I add a new races, does the game automatically sort them to the especially calendar?

Yes, (sort of), Calendar is based off of STA_Calendar, and STA_Country. Each country is assigned to a Calendar so any race from that country should automatically get added into that calendar type.

Hi mate, here´s the cdb of the file that isn´t working. If anybody else wants to take a look figuring it out, don´t hesitate
Problem is the game crashing upon loading the save, added a race "dauphie libere U23" with the ID of 516

Okay so took me a second to find, you tried to add the race for 2016 when the game was still in 2015. I just switched the computer time to 2015 dates, then advanced the game to the next season and it worked fine. (with the race being July 1-8)
Here is the file, should work.

will give it a new go with my current save (wanted to test it from a backup, getting towards the end of 2016 now)
thanks a ton |

Are there any obvious (or not so obvious) pitfalls when applying this to normal races ? Which additional tables would you need to edit ? |

I've got a question,
You said in the guide that you would explain the 147-148-149-150 IDs in national teams(So that the talents of the small countries can race as well) later. Well, can you still do that, I'm interested?
Ps. This works for PCM 13 too, though a few tables are added, I think. Those can basically be neglected, though

I know I posted in the other spot, I'll look to add a more detailed picture oriented post probably tomorrow for that. I need to check out how it holds up in the 2013 game.

Have you made jerseys/let jerseys make of continents, or do you just use jerseys of sponsors from the areas?

Hi!
I was looking to add a few stage races to my game. I didn't start my career jet, so I skipped the instructions in connection with career mode. My problem is that as I start my career every single new stage appears to be the GP Quest France-Plouay race and I can't find a solution to this one. Can someone help?
