Keeping the riders in the team

I have a problem : keeping some of my riders in my team. I don't have this problem with all my riders, only a few, and it's even more irritating when it is about some riders from your scout, well developed after 3 seasons.
When is the mood involved, I know the problem, but what are the factors behind the deny of an offer from my rider, even if I accept his conditions, even if he had good results, good morale, I made an offer in February before he attract the attention of other teams. I really don't know what is the explanation, beside the mighty random.

Sometimes its just impossible to keep certain riders. Regardless of moral, mood, results, contract, team-make up, position in team etc etc they will just not re-sign.
The only way then to keep them is to use an editor to extend the length of their contract (dyn_cyclist_contract iirc)
