I am in the second season for a new career and this is the first time that I was able to get Boasson Hagen on my team. Needless to say I am quite excited. My question is this: Should I train him as a sprinter or as a puncheur in the Bettini mold? He could develop into an outstanding sprinter since he is already at 76 speed with Level 2 experience. But why limit him in just sprints. He has a 70 in TT and a 73 in hills. With these two stats he could win quite a few one day races and a few other small stage races.
Your thoughts? What do you guys usually do? |

I would say train him at sprints, but that's only because i can't do hilly races

I'd say try to do both. If you intend youre career to reach 2010 with that savegame, you could easily knock him up to level 4 and from there make a proper decision.

If you train he as a sprinter he would be the best in the world. On my save whit Astana i got 82 in SP in 2009. |

Train him as a sprinter. When he is good at that, and on lvl 4, change to puncheur. That way, he'll be a top sprinter (82-84) and a very good puncheur (76 hill if you train him as a sprinter, perhaps even up to 80 in some years time) |

I'm in 2010 with Boass, and I trained him as a sprinter with some others sprinkled in there to make him amazing. He has 83 SP, 81 flat, 74MO 74 TT 78 HIL and 74 COB not to mention REC at like 80. I plan to get him to 84 sprint by the end of the year, and then try and get his Stage Race Stats to at least 75.

Good advice. A sprinter he will become.
PensFan - those are some amazing stats. By the way are you in Pittsburgh? Just curious because I live in Penn Hills. |

I can tell you for definate that there aren't many in Yorkshire
If you don't eat pies during half-time (or any time during the sport) then it's not a sport
anyway I like Pensa's ideaB)

There would be one more if we hadn't left Scarborough in 96
