A very flat finale, with most competitions pretty much decided, the most important things for the riders is to stay on their bikes.

i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/btc_zpse1fa0b09.png Roelandts will be looking for his hat-trick here, can the other sprinters deny him? i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/arm_zps60f3d6b6.png Lo Cicero went much too early, i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/var_zps06f2aa1f.png Guarnieri was also too premature with i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/ing_zps78b9af5e.png Bazajev out of position.

It’s going to be a still short hop today with the winds that we have seen on previous stages non-existent. We get, like yesterday, a seven man break. You may as well give it a go today, being the last day.

i187.photobucket.com/albums/x62/Smowz/MG2013/C1races/10b-ourbreak_zps430685e0.jpg

i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/CT/mtn_zps3dcc4d70.png Meintjes (29th at 18.57)

i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/CT/spr_zps39a3252c.png Schurter (26th at 17.13)
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/CT/jkp_zpsd1d2e7e2.png Hayakawa (89th at 42.19)
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/cis_zpsa215ca85.png Hnik (103rd at 44.55)
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/rep_zps8fe99b28.png Rodriguez Galindo (32nd at 20.12)
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/vwm_zps2ffcd386.png Preidler (21st at 13.15)

Again like yesterday a few riders who could move up to a decent GC if the break is successful.

The two intermediate sprints are not contested, the results are

Sprint 1:
1st Priedler
2nd Meintjes
3rd Rodriguez Galindo

Sprint 2:
1st Hnik
2nd Delgerbayar
3rd Preidler

It’s not going to get the chance to fight out for stage glory, once again i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/arm_zps60f3d6b6.png Armavia are the main team chasing with i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/var_zps06f2aa1f.png Vespa and i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/btc_zpse1fa0b09.png Bouygues sending a token rider up front.

i187.photobucket.com/albums/x62/Smowz/MG2013/C1races/10c-Armaviachase_zps9811c8c2.jpg

They finish on circuits today and the final straight is a pretty simple long straight, they’ll be no excuses today.

i187.photobucket.com/albums/x62/Smowz/MG2013/C1races/10d-Straight_zps591c4b1e.jpg

The catch is made with 5.5km to go, the chasers have pretty much got this spot on.

3.5km to go:

500m left

i187.photobucket.com/albums/x62/Smowz/MG2013/C1races/10l-HerecomeBazandRoe_zps4a2a489d.jpg

It’ll be tight with i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/ing_zps78b9af5e.png Bazajev poking his nose out in front, but i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/btc_zpse1fa0b09.png Roelandts is right there. i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/arm_zps60f3d6b6.png Lo Cicero is the best of the second rank with i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/emt_zps170ae4bd.png Manarelli also going fast.

There is the line and what a late burst by i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/arm_zps60f3d6b6.png Lo Cicero.

i187.photobucket.com/albums/x62/Smowz/MG2013/C1races/10m-Roehasdoneit_zps4922deae.jpg

But it’s too late to stop i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/btc_zpse1fa0b09.png Roelandts three-peating, a fourth stage win for his team as well.

GC
No GC changes today and Castano produces a fine win considering his age, Iglinski will be pleased with a big leaders performance whereas Serpa completes an experienced looking podium. The climbers really won out here, Ratiy will be disappointed with 5th this was an chance to break his virginity. Larsson and Peraud didn't climb well enough to live with the mountain goats.

Points
Roelandts took three wins, three seconds and a fourth on his way to a comfortable points jersey. Bazajev didn't get a stage win, but proved more consistent than Guarnieri, whose stage 2 stage win was a false dawn.Lo Cicero just got his act together twice, even on this stage he was a bit too late. Breakaway man Gate just sneaks into the points scoring positions.

Teams
CT teams are getting a high degree of success from C1 stage races with even the weaker teams like JK Cycling and Cadburys enjoying a degree of success. Sauber produced a heartening display on the tougher stages in this race and then got a breakaway stage win.
