Welcome to the blog!
I am Maxime Oget (call me Max), I am a rider for Trek Livestrong u23. My friend Mitch Thompson is at school but he my buddy and he will be writing in the blog. we are two young riders. I am more of a sprinter/cobbler. I will let mitch post about himself.
I am American but my dad is french and my mom is Russian hence my French/Russian name Maxime. I have visted Belgium and I love bringing my road bike along to ride the cobbles. I am a good hill rider, but man those sprints are really my thing.
Currently we are rideing at Livestrong but in the future we hope to grow and work our way up. Here we can learn and ride with some great guys. Also Axcel Merkx isn't the worst D.S. to learn from

Mitch Thompson
Hi guys. I'm Mitch Thompson.
I have been riding since I could go on anything with 2 wheels. I am a stage racer and have won many in my time as a junior. But now I am all grown up (18 years old) and have been signed by Trek Livestrong. The team is a great one and I look forward to racing with my very good friend Max Oget.
Well a bit of my background story enen though I have already given you some.
I was born in Palmerston North on the Northern Island of New Zealand. When I was born my name was Jak Mitchell Thompson. It doesn't really work does it. So when I was 10 I got rid of the Jak and was from then on called Mitchell Thompson or Mitch Thompson for short.
I have been riding since I was 8 years old and won my first race at the age of 9. When I was a under 15 rider I took my training up and got to the QLD state team. This was a big achievement for me. From then on every year I got to the QLD state team but I didn't get really good until I was in he under 17 category. In my 2nd year I was 16 years old and didn't know that the national race was going to change my life forever. I attacked with 20km to go and I was gone. I ended up winning by 3 minutes to the other riders. I also won the TT by more then a minute. I was really going for it. After the RR I was approached by someone wearing an AIS jacket. He said that he wanted to train me at the AIS and I didn't even hesitate to shake the guys hand and say yes.
The next year I was in the under 19 category. I was seventeen years old and being trained in the AIS. They said they had entered me Ina race in the USA. I packed up my things and I was off. This was in September and this is also were I met my Best Friend Max Oget. We were racing along and we were having a chat. We decided that we will go together because he could tell I wanted to attack near the end. So with 15km to go we both attacked. With him being a sprinter and me being a TT rider I had to do most of the work but this rewarded me. Me and Max had a sprint. He took the win of course. We both got approached after the end of the race by some people from the cycling team Trek Livestrong. We were surprised but we both accepted a contract and signed then and there. When we looked at the result we saw why we got approached. We saw that Leigh Howard, Sep Vanmarcke and Jake Keough had brought the peloton home. We had beaten some great riders. The AIS was so happy for us.
We decided to start this blog to tell the world about our new and exciting life. I hope you enjoy this as much as we do.
Bye
Mitch & Max

The Squad Intro
Well here is the team. It is a strong team with Dombrowski and Thompson the Absolute leaders for the mountains and Oget the leading sprinter. We also have Craddock, Mannion and Brown who are good lead out men. Only one other rider that is going to help out big in the mountains is George Bennett from New Zealand. This Kiwi is a fantastic climber. He is one of the best and is really looking forward to riding with such great riders.
The Team Jersey
Well here is the new jersey. It is a very good looking jersey. The design team (Jakstar22 & Veloman, I use his shorts) did a fantastic job in the end. Without further ado, the team jersey.
WE are very happy with this jersey. Thanks to Jakstar Jersey's for this creation with the help of Veloman.

Aus Champs
Today it is only Lewis, Parker and I who are racing at the Aus champs for Trek – Livestrong. This is my first race as a professional cyclist and I am really looking forward to it.
So today is a circuit race with a lot of hills. It should be very interesting to see who will win. I am the leader and will be getting help from Lewis and Parker. So let’s see what happens.
The Race
Today was the debut for me and the new jersey. Here I am with Parker and Lewis. They are so much bigger than me.
With Lewis and Parker on the front no break could get away.
With 4 laps to go Parker launched me.
I got straight up to the leading group without even sitting down. It was awesome.
My first turn on the front on a professional team.
With 19km to go the break had 2.34 on the peloton and 2 minutes on Stuart O’Grady. I was doing fantastic and I felt great.
With 5km to go I was following Porte. We had 1.35 on the peloton.
But I had no chance against sprinters like Menzies and Docker. Menzies takes the win ahead of Docker and Lancaster. I take 4th and Porte 5th.

Well I did my best today which I am very happy with. I got 4th in my first race of my first season as a pro. It was disappointing to come so close but I knew it was a long shot to win. There is always next year so I will be here again.

Tour de Langwaki
Stage 1
Flat, flat and more flat. With few hills it is most likely going to come down to a bunch sprint.
The Race
Well today I was told to go into the breakaway so here I am attacking.
I came 2nd in the first sprint point. Folder took maximum points.
Just to top it off I came 2nd again in the mountain sprint. And guess who won. Thats right..... Folder.
But unfortunately we were never going to stay away on a pan flat stage. We were caught.
So we got caught. Now it is up to Max.
Thought I might add this. Because off all the great sprinting I did and the time bonuses I got I am 6th on GC and 2nd in youth. Not a bad day on the job I think.
