Hello
I will try to make a story with (one of) the best cycling team in the world I hope you will enjoy this
I'm using the 2013DB for PCM 2011 thanks to Atlantius.
Difficulty: Normal - Hard
Hey everyone
My name is Thomas and I will be a sport director at the Omega Pharma – Quickstep Pro Cycling Team. Considering my lack of experience in the team car, at the highest level of cycling, I’m very happy that Mr. Patrick Lefevere offered me this chance.
This season will be all about learning from my more experienced colleagues.
I hope you will follow me through this season full of challenges, not only for me but for the whole team. To repeat 2012 will be very hard, but hard doesn’t mean impossible.
I will give you full reports of the races where I will in the team car, there will be a small summary of the other races. You can find the race calander in the next post.

Management
My colleagues
Team presentation
Let me show you this short summary of our team presentation at the Eddy Merckx Velodrome in Gent.
Jersey
Cavendish in our new kit
Our NC jerseys are designed by the_hoyle.
Tom, Niki and Michal are showing the_hoyle's NC jerseys.
Leaders
There are 2 absolute leaders at our team:
Tom Boonen
Tom was absolutely outstanding last year on the cobbles, with his impressive wins in the “E3 Prijs Vlaanderen – Harelbeke”, “Gent-Wevelgem”, “Ronde Van Vlaanderen” and “Paris-Roubaix” he takes his spot between the greatest cobblestone riders in history. He will try everything to win this races again. Riding with the Belgian NC jersey gives him a lot of motivation.
Goals: Cobble classics
Milano – San Remo
Mark Cavendish
What can I say about Cav? He is just the fastest man on a bike. In contrast to Sky, OPQS will give him full support at “Le tour de France”. Mark will also try to win some (classic) races who will finish on bunch sprints, also the “Giro d’Italia” is on his program.
Goals: Stage wins at the Giro
Stage wins and the Green jersey at the Tour
To win a classic
Free elements
Sylvain Chavanel
The current French national ITT champion is ready to shine in 2013. His main focus is to help Tom on the cobbles and maybe win something themselves. “Milano – San Remo” is one of his preseason objectives. In “Paris – Nice” he will go for a good GC and a stage win. But his biggest objective is “Le Tour de France”, Chava is still dreaming of wearing the yellow jersey and is looking forward to help Cavendish in the sprints.
Niki Terpstra
Terpstra is our 3rd best cobblestone rider. He will help Tom and Chava as long as possible on the streets of pain and misery. Terpstra will ride “Le tour de France” as a main part of our leadout train. He will lead our team in some smaller stage races in Belgium and The Netherlands like “De 3-daagse van West-Vlaanderen” or the “ster ZLM toer”
Peter Velits
Peter Velits is one of the better climbers in our squad. After his great “Vuelta a España” of 2010 he had a calm 2011 and 2012. But now we will try to get him back in the spotlights. In the “Giro d’Italia” he gets his chance to lead our team. A top 10 is the target. If the condition is good he will try the same in the “Vuelta a España”. He also gets his chance in some other small stage races.
Tony Martin
One of the best time trialers the moment. Tony is really proud off his 2nd rainbow jersey and can’t wait to show it. His first objective is a top 5 in Paris – Nice. The tour is made for Tony with more than 100 of TT kilometres. He is targeting the prologue (and the yellow jersey). The 2 other ITT’s are also great opportunities to get a stage win. The world championship ITT are also a big objective.
Other riders
G. Brambilla | F. Rabon | K. De Weert | P. Serry | D. Devenyns | G. Steegmans | A. Fenn | Z. Stybar | M. Golas | M. Trentin | B. Grabsch | G. Van Keirsbulck | I. Keisse | S. Vandenbergh | M. Kwiatkowski | K. Vandewalle | N. Maes | M. Velits | G. Meersmans | J. Vermote | S. Pauwels | C. Verona | J. Pineau | |
(It's a short team presentation, but when you watch the video you should have enough info about the team.)
I can announce that the Danish rider, Alex Rasmussen has find a new team. After his suspension (for missing 3 doping controls), he will ride for our team.
Rasmussen is really happy with his new contract
“I was hoping to resign with Garmin-Sharp but I didn’t hear anything from Mr. Vaughters” he said on the press conference, “so when Mr. Lefevere approached me, I didn’t hesitate”. “To ride in one of the best teams in the world is an huge honnor.”
Also Cavendish was really happy for his former HTC-teammate. He said: “Alex is a really strong guy, he is perfect for a leadout-train.”
I’m really happy that Mr. Lefevere was able to sign him. Alex is a rider that every team can use: a very good time trailers and he has a decent sprint. I’m looking forward to work with him.
It is now official: Katusha will not be part of the World Tour this year. WADA agreed with the UCI so katusha has to hope for some wildcard for the most important races. J. Rodriguez is not happy with the decision but has already said that he will stay at Katusha.
Rodriguez: I will stay where I’m now.

Good luck with the story. Nice signing with Rasmussen. In my 11-story, he developed into a nice sprinter (77) and timetrialist (80), hope he does the same for you.

NOOO I can't believe it
Bad news guys: my laptop broke dawn. Yesterday everything was just fine but now I get a blue screen. I think it has something to do with this:https://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/wi...-windows-7
I brought him to a specialist so I hope he can solve the problem. Otherwise the story is over before it started. I was currrently at the start of Milano - San Remo after I won P-N with Chava. So I am very angry at my laptop now

YYEESS, My laptop is back and guess what: PCM is still alive. On the other side, my savegame is lost so I have to start all over.
But I have the next plan: I will (try to) play every day one stage so that one day irl is one in PCM. So I can write every sunday a report about the previous week.
What do you guys think about that idea?
Thanks everyone for the support
Oh and I updated the first post a bit
