Lost save

I just went to start the game and it said that I had a ne patch to install, as I have already installed all available ones i figured nothing would change and allowed it to install. When the game started on the opening menu the option to start my most recent save was unavailable, and when I clicked on Load a previous save the game froze and went into not responding.
If it makes a difference I have bene using the 2013 dba available from this forum

Restarted the game 3 or 4 times and turned the laptop off and on again.
The files are still there in my documents as well |

Maybe the save is broken.
Try to load the backup by removing the ~ from the file name of the backup file, then load it in the game. If I remember correctly, The saves should be here: My documents\pcm10\users\yourname\database\solo\name of db\
(or My documents\pcm10\database\solo\name of db\
I am not sure but I think there also is a folder called weeklysave somewhere in my documents\pcm10. If there is, then copy the latest file from there to the save game folder |

HI
Cheers for the advise,I've tried all of these, but still as soon as I click on Load - from the opening page - the whole game freezes.
Figure I'll just have to give up on it |

I would start a new game. You won't get it back. I have had the same problem heaps of times. Best option is to start again.

If the backups from the weeklysave folder also crash, then consider doing a fresh install of the game:
1. Un-install the game
2. Install the game
3. Install the latest patch
4. Install the DB
(If you do not follow this order, like installing a patch after installing the DB as you did, you might mess up the game)

If i do that and then transfer my weekly saves back into the newly installed games folders do we think that would make it available to play again? |

If you uninstall the game, it will not delete the saves.
Theoretically, you should be able to load the save just after you did step 4 (in my list above). |
