Deignan, Martin and Roche slip away and are later joined after a long chase by Martin's Letua teammate McCann.

Roche starts to power onwards and is soon alone. Deignan, Martin and McCann follow but are losing time. McCann is suffering from his chase and yo-yos in and out of the group. McCann is eventually gone for good and Martin manages to drop Deignan.

Up front, its a comfortable win for Nicholas Roche!
