After multiple attacks from many riders, only 2 riders got away: Philip Deignan and Chris Froome. But Piotr Mazur, Laszlo Bodrogi, Gabriel Brizuela, Martin Prázdnovský and Tomas Vaitkus would join the pair.
i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff272/SportingNonsense2/boly1.png

After a fairly gentle pace in the peleton, Portugal and Kazakhstan moved forward with the gap at 14 minutes with 130km to go, and the peleton was soon down from 77 to 25.

With 55km to go, the gap is at a controllable 3'54 as the action begins. Rujano, Kohl, Hesjedal and Nicacio escape. Nicacio falls off though and then Rujano suffers the same fate before the other 2 are also caught.

They are countered as caught and the new attackers pass the early breakaway.
i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff272/SportingNonsense2/boly2.png
Pluchkin, Glomser, Vastaranta and Konovolas.

They evade the pack for 20km, before being caught with 10km to go.
i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff272/SportingNonsense2/boly3.png

Nicholas Roche launches an all or nothing attack, but a descent halts his progress and he is reeled in, along with Ryder Hesjedal who tried to go with him. Noone else attacks, it will be a sprint and it is 3 of the 4 break riders who are best placed.
i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff272/SportingNonsense2/boly4.png

Glomser passes Eibegger as Vastaranta seems to be struggling a little. Perez Marquez is coming but from too far back.
i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff272/SportingNonsense2/boly5.png

Glomser, Eibegger, Vastarant, Pluchkin, Kohl and Perez Marquez pull away from the pack, and it is true Austrian domination as Glomser wins ahead of Eibegger.
i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff272/SportingNonsense2/boly6.png

Vastaranta looks like taking 3rd but fades badly at the end allowing Pluchkin to pass for a Moldovan medal. Perez Marquez is 4th, poor positioning cost him at least a silver.
i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff272/SportingNonsense2/boly7.png

Manuel Medina led teammate Rujano in for 7th and 8th.

All teams have 2 riders for the TT, except the Mixed Team who have 5 riders from 5 seperate countries. So the first 3 riders are all from that team. Froome, Stevic and Raivis Belohvosckics.
i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff272/SportingNonsense2/boly9.png

Unsurprisingly, the Latvian goes into the lead but it only lasts for less than 5 riders before Accumalux teammate Ondrej Sosenka takes over the lead for Czech Republic.
i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff272/SportingNonsense2/boly10.png

Another Accumalux rider, Drasutis Stundzia (Lithuania) goes 2nd, ahead of Belohvosckics and then yet another Accumalux rider, Piotr Mazur, takes 2nd again - just 8 seconds slower than Sosenka.
i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff272/SportingNonsense2/boly11.png

11 out of 41 gone and it is effectively an Accumalux 1-2-3-4 although as far at this race is concerned, it is Czech Republic-Poland-Lithuania-Latvia. Its another 12 riders before the 1-2-3-4 is broken, as Pedro Nicacio goes 4th.

Roman Kreuziger is soon up to the finish and is so close to getting a 1-2 for Czech Republic, going 3rd 11 seconds behind Sosenka and 3 behind Mazur.
i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff272/SportingNonsense2/boly12.png

Poland's 2nd rider: Niemiec (Also of Accumalux) is soon into the finish and goes 4th, things are looking good for Poland and Czech Republic. But Argentinian Matias Medici pokes his nose into the European domination, taking 4th.
i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff272/SportingNonsense2/boly13.png

And that is that, Sosenka is the winner!

Its unfortunate for Austria and Czech Republic that they have not been allocated a spot in the Olympics, but victory here at least qualifies them for the Worlds.
