Lag in Vuelta 2008

In the Vuelta 2008 starting from stage 4 the game starts lagging incredibly much and it's not because I have set the graphics too high or anything. I endured the lag on stage 4 in hope of a radical improvement on the next stage, but as I learned that the next stage was no different I couldn't be bothered playing on.

Does anyone know something about this?

From my experience, some stages lag more than others. Perhaps its due to too much isolated buildings or something like that.

Yeah but I haven't experienced this before with any other stages. The stages are completely unplayable and the only way you can complete is by setting the speed x8 and not worry about how your riders finish.

There must be some problem with PCM Spain here, but I have nu clue what it is.

It just happens occasionally - generally, I've found its either shaders or anti-aliasing to blame, or, in my most recent case, your computer is about to crash, big time

Well, you could lower the graphics for just those stages.
