This is the official thread for the 2012-13 Tour de Ski. Here those of us who are interested in skiing can discuss the results and stages.
There is one major change this year; the Tour has been shortened from 9 to 7 stages, eliminating one sprint which should favour one of the favourites Therese Johaug.
The traiditional finish will be on the climb up the alpine hill in Val di Femme.

Here wasn´t much action...
Haven´t seen as much as I hoped for but could watch both today.
Impressive by Kalla today but she will probably loose some time in the 2 classic races. Kowalczyk needs more time back to Johaug before the big climb is my guess.
And Northug needs to win some time otherwise it will be hard for him to beat Cologna in the last climb, looking back at last year Legkov had the fastest time at that stage he will probably be good this year to.
Hellner is to long back unfortunately... |

The women's race was really great to watch, especially with Swedish glasses on.
Amazing race from both Kalla and Wiken. The overall seems to be between Kowalczyk and Johaug though.

Bauer is shite this year, it is clearly between the leading four now, the two russians and usual susspects Northug and Cologna. It will be great finale!

I agree, I had somewhat bigger hopes for Bauer. I didn't think he would be within the top 3, but I thought he would be closer then +2 minutes.
On the womens side, I think Johaug is still within range of Justyna, however she will have to hang on tomorrow. Kalla also needs time on Johaug before the final climb. As things stand now I think Therese has a pretty good chance at the win and definately the 2nd place.

He hasn't been on a really good level since 2010. He is also getting older and will be 36 years old this year and i think he won't reach his old level again.
The fight now is between Cologna, Northug and Legkov. If Legkov is around 30-45 seconds behind Cologna and Northug before the last stage he will take it in the last stage. |

I think Cologna will take it again. He has been solid all the way through, and will probably gain more time on Legkov tomorrow.
Not really sure what to expect from Northug. I get the feeling that he could really surprise on the big climb. Wouldn't surprise me if he crushes the others.

Well, Kowalczyk (spelling?) won TdS for the 4th year in a row, but Therese Johaug did a very impressive climb. I am extremely happy with all four norwegian girls in the top 6.

Hellner was amazing on the climb! Such a shame that he didn't get the chance to compete for the victory.
Legkov deserved the win the most, so I'm happy for him. Vylegzhanin impressed me as well. I thought he'd get dropped with Northug.
