From October 21st 2007, I am now unable to ATTEMPT to buy riders off any team. It says when I make offers for riders such as Vaitkus for my starstudded Bouygues Telecom team that:
"You are already contracted to this rider, please wait until October 15 next"
(I have not got a contract with Vaitkus!!! I want one but I don't!!!)
This happens to any rider now. WHAT IS HAPPENING? I need a Time Traillist, Sprinter and Domestique sharpish!!! Or I will never do any good in 2008!!! :x

definitely haven't enquired about any since July, only sounding-out and shortlisting the riders that could fit the bill. im hoping its just a one off weird problem and that it'll be normal when I next play on it, but if its still there im doomed

I think the problem is a bad translation.
I don't think they mean you have a contract with the rider, but I think they mean that his current team has just renewed his contract this year and so you have to wait until next year to post a bid on him.
I've just finished the 2007 Season and I wanted to get Hagen, but when I asked I got the same reply you did. But I think it's because he had just signed for Predictor. Anyway, I'll have a crack at him in the next transfer season and then we'll see.
