I need some help from a nerd who can tell me what is better for a sprinter.
Is it better to have 67hill, 64 resistance and 82Spr or 64hill, 64resistance and 83Spr?
All the other stats are identical. As I don't have the game I can't test things myself, but just how important is the sprint stat? Is the hill stat more important or?
Obviously the harder the stage gets the more important the hill stat gets, but if it's a normal TdF stage that is semi-hard, which sprinter would have the better chance of winning?
Surviving climbs with more energy left makes more difference than a bit of extra speed. You wont have any use of the speed if your rider is completely empty when the sprint begins.
Another stats related question i thought i'd add here rather than starting a new thread.
I'm just riding in the Califonian Road event and blitzing Contador/Froome/Martin out of the water in the first 3-4 stages But when it comes to the TT my riders fail badly (TT stat is around 66).
So if i put the TT specialist trainer to work with these guys will they -
a) loss ability in the mountains?
b) improve massively to challenge these guys?
No, the rider will never lose ability, unless they are declining. (That's when they are about 31, depends on the rider)
And b is partly right. They will improve faster with a TT trainer, especially when it's a good trainer(TT value 7+)
But the rider has to have potential in TT, that means stars when you click on the rider, and then on training.
The more stars, the more they are able to improve in it. Don't train it if there are no 'potential' stars.
You have to click at training TT when you're at the training screen btw, then they will train in TT. It's just a bonus though, they will also inprove in TT when you let them train 'sprinting' but just not that fast. Just ask if i wasn't clear.
