Anyone still playing this game? It has updates up till this season september thanks to the Tapani patches at www.champman0102....
I started a career at n.ireland with Tobermore, a piss poor squad of only 6 players. So I started picking up free transfers (Tobermore doesn't have money). And well, 2 seasons long i've been stuck in first division, this season I finally look like making promotion 
And this is my star player...

i have the game too and i just love it, but i don't play it in ages like Addy.
now i play FM, but clearly if there was only CM for sale i would continue to play CM 01/02

I think CM 01/02 is still the best in the series, I never became addicted to any of the other series. Mind you, I do play FM once in a while, but after a while it becomes boring and I switch back to 01/02 again  ops:
Especially with the 07/08 updates it's just by far the best management game for me  |

I'm now leading the league with 16 points advantage. When I started 2 seasons ago they expected me to 'improve the squad' and this year they wanted 'a respectable league position'

CM 01/02 was a classic, no doubt about it. Although i prefer FM07 these days, it was entertaining beyond the rest of the CM series.

aaah CM01/02....the good old days of taking Sunderland to the Premiership crown with Taribo West. the days of taking Rushden to the same title with C.Ronaldo on the team (he had random attributes back then and I just lucked into him being good)
aah the days of Cherno Samba not sucking and every big club going after Julius Aghahowa...

Hey,I have Cherno Samba in my Gateshead squad in league 2 -(year 201-16) and he is quite good (for the lvl)

I've won the league and am now in the highest n.Irish division. Also lost the finals in the cup, but still my best cup result with this crap team

theres a whole sub-culture of fm/cm players called LLM (or llamas).
They play without any help from outside sources, and prefer to play the lowest possible of teams. Sort of a dogma-fm.
Im playing a loose version of that atm (in fm08) where I simulated a season and then took on of the teams promoted from rymans bond league (tier 7). and I have them at league 2 atm.
great challenge! (thanks to a person named Dafuge on the official forums.)

Ooohhh Zutcorp. Ive tried that as well. Ive twice taken over Nykøbing Falster Alliancen in CM4 (i think?) and the edition that followed. Great fun to play a team that starts with no professionals whatsoever and which considers 10k£ a fortune.

actually, my team has no money, we're in debt 1,7million after 2 seasons, i could only buy free transfers from the start, and they all have a contract of around 10.000€ a year
But as it seems, we're gonna dominate the league. 24 matches played (of 36) and I only lost 1 and drew 1. I'm on a non-losing streak for 20 games now, all my players are in the top 30 of the avg.rating.
It took some time to raise my team with many young talents, and it took me 3 seasons to promote. But now it seems we have become far too strong for the N.Irish league |

CM 01/02 is the best football game ever. I still play it and right now i'm in season 4 with Brighton. I'm second in DIV1 after 17 matches. I have 19 million pounds and I have Tó Madeira, maybe CM 01/02s best goalscorer
