RSM news database puts it in a folder called Programme i think. Find it and copy the files into your PCM folder. |

1. download the thing you want, e.g RSM-News 1.4 db
2. Place it in the correct directory (mine is C:/Program Files/Cyanide/Pro Cycling Manager - Saison 2006) yours might be something similar if not exact to mine
3. start up the game so you get to the bit that lists, 'single player, multiplayer, options, exit'.
4. when you get to the screen mentioned above click on 'options'
5. then near the top of the screen it should say 'database' on a little tab. click on this.
6. you should then be able to select the RSM 1.4 db to play with if you have placed it in the correct directory.
hope this helps

ooooh!!!!!
idea!!!!!!!!
did you re-name the db 'RSM 1.4' or did you leave it as 'OfficialRelease'
because if you didn't change the name, the thing thats says 'OfficialRelease' should actually be the RSM db as it would've overwritten the old db.
(please don't say you changed it because i thought that was a good idea)

The new 1.4 version of RSM is called "OfficialRelease.cdb". Therefore, you might have installed the DB correctly. You can check if you have done it right by seeing if your background has changed. RSM News DB comes with a new background, so if is installed correctly you should see a difference when opening the game. |

Yes, try to redownload it. When asked where to install it, make sure you choose the right path (for example "C:\Program Files\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Saison 2006". If you install it to the right directory to start with you won't have to move anything, and it should work.
Also remember to clear the cache. |

There is a folder in your PCM 2006 folder called "Cache" |

I also seem to have the same problem as mlminard. I downloaded the db to C:\Program Files\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Saison 2006. I then had to go through some thing in german saying something about radsport Manager pro sport 2006. I saw that file in the programme file that doddy mentioned. I copied that radsport file into my pro cycling manager saison 2006, but still nothing. I then copied the officialdatabase.cdb into the database folder inside the pro cycling manager saison 2006, and all the teams are now named correctly and people are on their correct team, but jerseys and the photos that should have been added are not. I thought maybe if i placed the folders in side the radsport folder, into the pro cycling manager saison 2006 folder directly, it would work. The folders inside the radsport folder are CM_Gui, CM_Stages, CM_Textures, Database, Gui. When i went to place one of the folders inside the the pro cycling manager saison 2006 it asked if i would like to overwrite it. My Question is does any of this sound right and if so should i do as i thought and overwrite that stuff, and would this mess up the game if i did.
Sorry if this sounds really confusing and stupid, but when it comes to computers it is like another language, but i do love this game and any help is greatly appreciated. |

It does indeed sound quite confusing but you may overwrite it.

Overwriting sounds fine. When you have done that, remember to delete the files inside the "Cache"-folder. |

I think i can mlminard. First i want to thank everyone for their help, and i think it was ultimately cruetrue who helped me get over the hump, with something he said in a different post. I cleared the cache, then redownloaded the file. Cruetrue said that because it is german it will want to be put into that radsport file, but don't let it. I was able to direct it to C:\Program Files\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Saison 2006 folder by going to my computer, progam files, cyanide, and then just clicking on the pro cycling manager- saison 2006 file. I thought i had done this in the past perhaps i was just clicking on the + thing in front of it instead of pro cycling saison 2006 part. It said C:\Program Files\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Saison 2006 this in the directory thing and i said next or what ever that german word was, if this doesn't work, i suppose you could just type in this (C:\Program Files\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Saison 2006). I think that would work. Hopefully i have helped you mlminard, because i know it worked for me.
