the game doesn´t start for me. first I click "play", then the screen turns white, as normal. then it becomes black with the red mouse on it. then it freeze. nothing happens.
I have enough space for it. I have my cd in. the cd is clean, i´ve done a fragmentation and cleaned the computer. I have the patch that the game tells me to install then i install the game.
what can the problem be?
You most likely have a corrupt savegame that prevents the game from opening somehow. Either delete that savegame (which is the latest you've played) or contact setzel as he seems to be quite a problem solver when it comes to uncorrupting corrupt save game files.
it has been working fine before, yes.
the problem is that I can´t find the saved gamefiles. I have looked on C:\Program\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager 2007\Database in pcm 2006 the files were in this catalog, but in this game the files aren´t there. there´s only four cdb-files: databasetemp , officialrelease, originallocal and tutorial.
where´s the saved gamefiles?
Try this:
1.delete the Cyanide/Pro Cycling Manager 2007 folder
2.delete the My Documents /Pro Cycling Manager 2007
3.go to Documents and Settings/(whatever your account name is). look at the "Application Data"(this name might not be in english. it's in whatever language your operating system is) folder. if it's not there, you need to make hidden folders viewable. delete the folder.
4.be EXTREMELY CAREFUL on this step. messing with registry incorrectly can seriously screw up your windows installation. use the search function to find any entries related to PCM. try, for instance, searching for "PCM". delete the entries (one, maybe two) that relate to it.
5. remove starforce using the starforce removal utility (https://onlinesecurity-on.com/downloads/sfdrvrem.zip)
