So obviously we've all thought at least once "I wouldnt mind playing a cycling game complete with only fantasy riders, player-controlled teams together with minor NPC teams and national teams making up a realistic startlist, easily customized schedules, semi-complicated finances, u23 races and spiced up with a proper form management system."
All right all right. Maybe you've just thought "Hey, we need another cycling game".
Either way im interested in creating one with the help of you guys. Obviously running a game cant be a one-man exercise if its to be done properly. And the input of the would-be players is also an important thing.
So i want your opinions, thoughts, idea et cetera. Even if you could lend me some assistance it wouldnt exactly go unnoticed
tl;dr version: Say chaps, lets make a cycling game. Any ideas? |

Well no. It oughta be different in mysterious and yet unknown ways.
EDIT: Actually i came up with three different things:
1) It wont be run in PCM because PCM sucks at actually resembling cycling at times. Instead i intend to program a simple simulator in BASIC. That or steal r0seBa's thingy
2) Economics wont just be a matter of "give X 30,000€ and place a bid of 165,000€ on Y".
3) An actual invitation system! Its a bit hard to see what Une Orbitel is doing at Post Danmark Rundt innit?

So, ive been thinking things through and basically ive dropped the "simple calculator that does the races somehow" plan and turned to having races run in PCM07. Its not something i like but it will do. And yes, its starting to resemble the Management game PCMdaily got going. Just more advanced.
Ive also cooked up a realistic feature list now:
U23 races (2 at least + WC)
Riders stat progression happens in off-season and is affected by the riders potential.
A relatively simple riders creation system (pay + age + rider type = stats and potential)
Some AI teams with poor riders to act as filler material in continental races with few human players.
Speaking of which, a provisional schedule of the early months at least.
So i want to know, who is (still) with me? I need to know before i go work more on it.

Well, I'd still prefer to concentrate fully on the Management Game. However, everyone are, of course, more than welcome to bring new ideas to the game. We certainly aim to develop the game further season after season. |

I want to get two things straight here:
1) I dont want to compete with the management game.
2) i want a game that is more complicated with management from month to month
