Welcome to the HQ of this new Italian team. In this season the team will be sponsorized by Fastweb (as main sponsor) and Eni (like co-sponsor). This two Italian companies are proud to have found this new team and hope to get some good result with Italian riders from the first season.
Here a short intro of the sponsor:
FASTWEB
Fastweb is an Italian telecomunications companies providing landline broadband Internet and Digital TV services. They use optical fiber, and for this reason they're the fastest and most known telecomunication company here.
They've decided to start this project as cycling is becoming a famous sport in all countries, so they will have visibility not only here in Italy.
As they're Italian the focus will be in Italian rider that can from the first season win lots of race. As for the kind of rider they prefer climbers, stage racer or punchuer, but rider like Ballan or Guardini catch their attenctions too.
ENI
Eni is an Italian multinational oil and gas company, present in 79 countries, and currently Italy's largest industrial company; owned for the majority by Italian government.
After being the official providers of fuel for Moto2 and Moto3 they've decided to expand their sponsorship in cycling. They know very well how difficult is in the sport but their expectations in this season are very high with a big goals: victory of a WT race here in Italy

D.S. of team Fastweb announce that they're trading with a rider with a big talent that can lead the team since the first year. Unfortunately nobody know the name of the guy but rumors say he is a classics rider. Anyway D.S said that they haven't signed yet as there are many team interested at him.

I'm happy to say that today we have made our transfer signing with Nico Kronenberger. He is a young (22 years) talented rider and I hope he could improve with our team and become one of the best stage racer. He is Swiss and he lives near Italy so our sponsor Fastweb is very happy for his nationality (Fastweb is and Italian society of the Swiss grouop Swisscom). This is our first transfer stay tuned for more news (especially about draft).

In the first season we have found a "special rival", i'm talking about team Lierse-Pizza Ullo as Pizza Ullo is an Italian sponsor. We hope that our rivalry will be constructive for Italian cycling world and that there will be the utmost respect. In CT division there is another Italian sponsor: Bulgari of team Bulgari Inditex; we'll surely follow this team in this year.
Anyway we wish good luck to both and all the team of the first season (though we will fight to beat you).

Hey guys!
I am Nico Kronenberger, a professional cyclist. I was born 22 years ago, in Lugano, in southern Switzerland. I started cyclocrossing when I was 12, and when I was 17, I switched to road cycling. I was quite successful in the U23 races, riding for Motorex - Credit Suisse Pro Cycling's youth academy, and now I'm ready for the real work: the UCI World Tour. Motorex didn't want to have me in their professional squad yet, and I didn't want to wait another season. Luckily, I got in contact with the DS of Team Fastweb. He said he saw a great future in me, and was very enthousiastic about having me riding for the team. I was perhaps even more enthousiastic, and decided to sign immediately. And that's why I'm here today.

Born near the Strait of Messina, Nibali's nickname is the "shark of the strait" or simply "the shark." His first major win came at the 2006 GP Ouest-France, where he beat an impressive field on a tough course. Nibali's biggest win to date is the overall in the 2010 Vuelta a España. He reched podium in the other two GT's too (2nd at Giro and 3rd at Tour).
I'm very happy to sign (for an year) with Vincenzo, now he is surely the best italian rider and one of the best stage racer in the world. He has a great talent and he can improve. I hope he could continue winning lots of race and maybe another GT (after the victory of Vuelta)
Guys, I'm very happy to sign with Team Fastweb. It's the strongest and biggest Italian team so far. Hope to show with this team that i'm one of the strrongest and that i can improve becoming one of the best.
