they're making up for the histerically laughable (literally) 0-0 draw last year where they missed 4 open goal shots and nearly lost with a last minute own goal by Henry

Sell Gomez, sell Bastürk, sell Meira and let the amateurs play!

Marseille 1-1 Porto. the french continue their proud tradition of doing nothing and getting points, just as they've been doing this season.
but what was brutal was the referee. no small mistakes. few mistakes, but all huge ones:
1. Niang hits two porto players the same way. and by "hit" I mean "BANG". as in, that has to hurt a lot. in both cases, the ball wasn't even in the same half. on neither case was he sent off. unbelievable.
later he scored Marseille's goal, so I would say the referee had quite some influence on the result.
2. He signalled a penalty against Marseille. there was NO WAY that was a foul. only someone daydreaming could imagine a penalty there. outrageous.
3. if he DID signal for a foul on that penalty, that absolutely positively definitely had to be a red card. there's no two ways about it. somehow, the ref turned into a yellow
all in all, whoever the ref is, he should be shot.
also, last I heard, Besiktas 2-0 Liverpool

AC MILAN 4 - 1 SHAKTAR
OMG Clarence Seedorf proved himself once more, by scoring twice with volleys.. and maybe now Holland coach Marco v. Basten will think different about him. |

Liverpool lose 2-1 - Liverpool had about 20 shots I believe, and only ever looked like scoring 0 - the 1 goal was just an awesome diving header from Gerrard, but other than that - rubbish

I saw Chelsea's first half goal. it was laughable. I'd like to know who the Schalke goalie is

Cardozo strikes and Benfica wins. I keep saying that the team that played in the second half should be the one to start every game
