I discovered all the music I ripped from my CDs to my computer have been ripped as wma files. So those files won't play on my Android phone. Now I have to convert all files to mp3. I tried installing a program that converts files but it gave me an error and I don't really trust it anymore.
Could someone help me find a program that can convert multiple files at the time (too much music to convert song by song) from wma to mp3? Thanks in advance!

I don't know about programs, at least free programs. I don't know if it works, but you can try to change the extension of the file to mp3 and see if it works. |

Already tried that, but the file was just: Voodoo Chile.mp3(.wma)
so that didn't work, unfortunately. |

But does the file extension appear without changing the name? Cause if not you need to toggle an option in the files config. |

It's not in the properties. You need to go to the folders options then SEE and search for ''Toggle extensions for known file type''. Don't know if it appear in English like this but in the PT version of 7 it's like this. |

You could try this (I haven't tried it though, so I can't confirm that it works ): https://techtips.s...10465.html |

You should be able to convert the file in FL Studio (demo available for free here). It's a bit complicated, but I can write a detailed guide if you want me to. Fl Studio is an audio workstation as well, so it takes some space.
Probably not the easiest solution.

Edit: very easy to use, too

I'm very happy with Format Factory
https://www.pcfree...nload.html
It can pretty much convert anything to anything (pictures, audio, video)

Okay I finally found some time to do it, it's converting right now, should take about 10 hours or so.
Now does anyone know a program that runs on Windows (yes, I still have windows on my main computer, unfortunately) where I can burn a CD with mp3 files? |

Windows is a great OS (so long as it's not Vista). Windows Media Player should do it.

Well, but the problem with Media Player is that it burns CD in wma format, and my car stereo doesn't read wma files. |

there is a option in windows media player under rip music to change the format from wma to mp3
right click, tools, options, rip music
voila!

If I'd only known that before I ripped everything
I'll keep it in mind for the future, though, thanks!
