IB package for stage maker & Tutorial
adiouk
Thanks to alex tutorial from PCM official forum I ve been able to add new IB in the game. There are more than 250 new IB that you can use for making tremendous stages !

For exemple Hong Kong Bay :

imageshack.us/a/img703/3128/screen1bc.jpg

You simply have to copy paste one IB's files (there may be plenty for one IB) into a folder from the IB folder of the game.

For example I used the folder "boat" below.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Saison 2012\3D\Landscapes\IsolatedObjects\Boats

Then you will find your new IB in the editor.

TUTORIAL FOR CREATING NEW IB

A tutorial was made on the french official forum https://www.cyanid...

Anyway lets explain you :

1) Go to google sketchup wharehouse and download the IB you want :

example here :

https://sketchup.g...

2) Open the file you just downloaded with google sketchup.

4) You will maybe get a lot a file (one object file, several Jpeg or png).

5) open all the jpeg files with paint net a save them into DDS. quality must be X8R8G8B8. If there is too many files, Image plus converter can be used to convert everythong in one time.

6) once all the texture are converted, open the object file in Nifskope

7) save it as a nif in the dds texture folder

8) Open blender, type X on your keyboard to delete the cube that always appear when blender starts.

9) Import your nif file nif file : file then NetImmerse Gamebryo (Njf .kf & egm)

10) use P to navigate vertically in your folders.

11) open your nif click OK the you will see your object in 3D, in grey. Change the size by pressing "S".

12) Export your Nif file, you have to click on pro cycling manager in the list of game before clicking OK to finalize.

13) your IB is ready

14) copy paste your new IB and all the related file in one folder of the game ex :

It is a taff job ;0

It comes from google sketchup wharehouse, then you have to use nifskope and blender to make it right for PCM... maybe 20 minutes are required for one IB

Would definitely be a good idea to make one large pack that people can download / be included with DBs.

Thanks a lot for the tutorial!

Had a brief try and...
...faced the first obstacles.

Downloaded a file and opened it with sketchup, but it seems that you only can export to .obj when you purchase the 80 bucks for the pro version.

Is there a (cheaper) way to get to .obj or a workaround? ...maybe converting .dae to .obj files?

adiouk
Google sketchup pro is required to export .obj Frown
