Hello
my name is Rob, and I have a serious problem With PCM 10.
1. I can't play, and that's it!
I don't know what else should I try to fix it!
I've, installed it, activated it, and then when I run the autorun it askes if I want the update, and I installed the update, but then when I click "play" it doesn't happen anything. And I have more than the recommended system configuration!
I have:
- windows 7, 64bit, with SP3
- PROCESSOR: Intel Core i7-2600CPU, 3,4 GH
- RAM: 8 GB
- GRAPHIC CARD: ATI Radeon HD 5400 Series
Please Help me, I'm going nuts, I really want to play this game!
I have spoken the dutch helpdesk, and they say:
- Remove PCM, instal again PCM
- Install the patch 1.0.4.1 (from PCM Daily) : I do that, but the problem is the same
- I have updated my Graphic card drivers, it doesn't work
- the map "videos" removed in C:/ProgramFiles/PCM2010. It doen;t work.
The strange thing is, when I install it with my friends laptop with Windows 7, 32 bit.
The game does work. But at my computer it doen't work.
I don't get it!
Can you please help me......
With kind regards,
Rob van Loenen

Did you try to start the game by double clicking PCM.exe?
Did you check in Taskmanager if the process PCM.exe is running after you clicked "play"?
The problem could also come from a strange resolution of your monitor. Try to set the resolution in the option file of the game. Should be somewhere at my documents\pcm 2010\ |

I can 't anything.
I can 't get into the game, so i can't change the resolution of the game.
I tried to set the resolution of the monitor, but nothing changed when I'm clicking on play.
The monitor going black for a split second, en then nothing.
I did n't get a error message or something. Nothing. For a split second my monitor is black and then i have my desktop back. |

Did you try to start the game by double clicking PCM.exe?
Possible answer: YES / NO (explain why not)
Did you check in Taskmanager if the process PCM.exe is running after you clicked "play"?
Possible answers: YES (do not forget to write what you did see) / NO (explain why not)
Also I told you to set the resolution in the option FILE, not in the game or the desktop.
I cannot remember where that file is in PCM10, but looking through the folders mentioned should be enough to find it.
If not, then please post here and maybe somebody can have a look on his computer.

Sorry, I didn't understand your questions. But now I do.
Yes, I try to doubleclick PCM exe.
The Taskmanager is open, so I can see what happened when I clicked on PCM Exe.
When I'm clicking on it, I can see that Pro Cycling Manager appears in the Taskmanager for a couple of seconds. I can see the words: pcm.exe*32.
After a couple of seconds the message disappears in the Taskmanager.
That's it. No messages further; nothing.
I'm searching in the maps of PCM, but I can't find the Option FILE for the resolution?? |

so your using a 64 bit computer to run a 32 bit game, I think that that is the problem, escapically since it worked on your friend's 32 bit computer
edit: I can't come up with an easy solution

you can play pcm2010 on 64bit Windows, I did it also.
Try to change the resolution of the game. the file is called GraphicConfiguration.xml and you be found here: My documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2010\Config
Open it with an editor (notepad) and set the resolution: ResolutionHeight and ResolutionWidth
Maybe that will help. |

I can't find the file GraphicConfiguration.xml
Other people say from the forum that the file is only made when you have play the game for the first time. Then the file is made.
So,, I can't do that, because I can't play the game. |

If pcm.exe runs but cannot create the pcm folder in "my documents", then either that is your problem (try to run the game as administrator and/or check if the my documents folder is write protected) or the file is somewhere else. (in rare cases the game creates the folder and file somwhere else, so you might want to search your computer for the file) |
